lol I really really doubt that's gonna happen.

But it would be nice...
I guess I'll have to agree on both counts...

Honestly, and you all can laugh at me: I like the title "Ohana Edition" :D
I'm soooooo waiting for the 2-Disc release of Lilo and Stitch. I hope if they're gonna release that one in Germany they will have the deleted scenes in it that were cut for the German release, as they wanted to get a G-rating.

Im not going to get my hopes up on ANYTHING...disney really disapointed me this year to tell you the truth. although maybe TLM will change my mind. but fox and the hound and robin hood will bring me WAY back down im sure. dont get me wrong I love the movies but the dvd's will make me sick the way dumbo did.

As much as I like "The Black Cauldron," I think it is very safe to say that we won't be seeing a multi-disc release for a while. I don't like to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I'm just greatful it's on DVD in the first place and in it's widescreen aspect ratio. However, maybe in a few years we will see a digital restored release with, hopefully, a documentray about the film and why it isn't generally well received, but how it was an important stepping stone technilogically on their way to classics like "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast." Many of the artists who helped shape those films got their start on "The Black Cauldron." Andreas Deja, for example.

I want that 2-disc edition of "Lilo & Stitch" that we all know is completed and Disney is just making us wait for it. I don't care what they call it, as long as it gets released. They could call it something completely bizarre, such as the "Jukimbawumba Edition" and I would be satisfied so long as it's released. I believe we were seeing official adds for this in 2004 when it was part of the Masterpiece line...

Like everyone else, I'm also up for a Hunchback or Hercules 2-discer. Hunchback is one of my favorites, but since that already had a restored anamorphic release, I'd like to see "Hercules" come first. It was the last great Alan Menkin Disney film and the Gold Collection is just terrible! The movie is so grainy and it wasn't made that long ago!... (wow. It's 10 years in 1 year. How time flies!)

As for the other single disc editions that are likely, most people have mentioned "The Aristocats," which I would say is the most likely. Marie, the cute white cat with the big pink bow, is all over the parks and the disney store, not to mention apparal for girls and tweens. I think it was one of the best selling of the GC DVDs, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got a single disc "Swinging Cat Edition" next year, or something like that. I would just like it to be restored, even though the GC transfer isn't all that bad in the grand scheme of things. Also, I really want some form of documentary focusing on this being the first film made after Walt's death.

Another one I hope we see soon is a special edition of "The Sword in the Stone." Probably single disc, since it's not super well known and probably the least accepted as a classic of Walt's films if you don't count the package features. However, it's extremely funny and I love the Sherman Brothers music (have they ever released a CD soundtrack?). The GC had restored picture and sound, but there is room for improvement. I just like this film alot.

Alot of people have mentioned a Rescuers set with both films. I'm all for it as long as they have their own cases, since I like my classics in chronological order... I'm

I bet Sword in the Stone's DVD will be called the "Higitus Figitus Edition"! :D

I know there was a Sherman Brother's SitS feature on video a couple years back, as well as some abandoned songs & concepts, so I hope it will have at least a slightly better release than Fox & the Hound or Robin Hood.

The more i think about it, the more i feel it easy to possibly predict a 30th Anniversary Edition release of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

here's my reasoning:

1.) The 25th Anniversary Edition went into the vault this past year.

2.) Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin was givin a SE release with a special "celebrating 80 years of Adventure" stamp in the lower left hand corner of it's cover art. this gives it a special release time.

3.) The release of Piglet's movie, the tigger movie, and the Heffalump movie in a big collection package recently. They are really playing Pooh big.

It seems silly to me that they would take Pooh off the shelf and then release all these other releases.

You're right singerguy04. You can make a lot of money with Pooh, and Disney does and will continue to try to make as much money as possible with Pooh.

I have a hard time believing that they would release a big 25th anniversary edition of pooh (which I love, by the way)...then do it again for the 30th anniversary?

Is there another case where they have done this with another movie? None are popping into my brain right now.

Pooh seems to be on a limited release schedule. I'm surprised it's not a Platinum, but Disney seems to only do Pooh every 7 years. I'd say it is more likely to see a re-release of Pooh in 2008/9. However, Disney changed their method with "Peter Pan" just because of "Tinker Bell," so anything is possible.

In 2001 Disney released Dumbo's 60th Anniversary Edition, and this past year they released Dumbo's Big Top Edition. That's a five year difference such as The Many Adventure's of Winnie the Pooh's would be if they released it again this year.

I bet it wouldn't be a 30th Anniversary Edition anyway, it'll be a silly named edition just like Dumbo and Robin Hood. That's my prediction.

I would think they would call it the Hundred Acre Wood edition, but was that what they called the recent boxed set? Anyway, I love the previous release. I just need to get Heffalump movie, Search for Christopher Robin, and some of the holiday stuff (Spookable Pooh, Springtime for You, the Valentine's one, and Seasons of Giving). I currently have Piglet's Big Movie, Tigger Movie, Many Adventures, Heffalump Halloween, and Merry Pooh Year. Also have a few Pooh titles on VHS, including Search for Christopher Robin and Seasons of Giving...

Anyways, here are the titles I would expect:

Hercules: Hero Edition
Hunchback: Outcast Edition
Rescuers: High Tide Edition
Rescuers Down Under: Outback Edition
Aristocats: Alley Cat Edition
Sword in the Stone: Wizard's Edition
The Black Cauldron: Undead Edition (yeah, right, ha)
Lilo and Stitch: Ohana Edition (seems likely)

Also...

Song of the South: P.C. Edition
Make Mine Music: Hillbilly Edition
Melody Time: Marlboro Edition

Well, it's not Disney, but Sony re-released Easy Rider as a 35th Anniversary Edition (simply by taking the 30th Anniversary Edition and adding a CD soundtrack, and I believe a collectible booklet).

And Disney's releasing a stupid Remix Edition of HSM even though the Encore Edition came in May. That's gotta be the shortest double-dip window I've ever heard of: May to December. Wait, never mind. I forgot about 20th Century Fox.

SUBTITLES

The "Big Top" "Most Wanted" "New Groove" subtitles HAVE to stop -- they are ridiculous what in the heck is a New Groove edition??? What ever happened to the good old "Special" edition or even more titles for the "Masterpiece" Collection which had a VERY short life with Alice In Wonderland. These tacky subtitles are corny and irritating. I hope they stop it soon.

I have to admit, I like some of those titles like the Robin Hood "Most wanted Edition". But "Big Top Edition" was simply ridiculous!!

 I liked: "Outcast Edition". Don't remember who posted that one. Hunchback needs a decent DVD release, it is a real good movie, but people often don't remember it as being that good, since it was made shortly after the Fab 4.

Disney must think little children like the titles, I guess. And yes, Hunchback definately needs a decent release. I don't really care for the titles, as long as the DVDs themselves are good.

that's kind of where i stand as well. i could care less anymore as long as the movie hasn't been treated the same way as it's title. Besides it seems like disney only pushes the corny titles on films that would fit it in nature. I think we over glorify dumbo as the tremendous work of art. i mean it is, but compared to snow white, fantasia, pinoccho, and bambi it has a completely different feel to it. I watched it last night and realised just home much more of a comedy it was than anything else. The Emperor's New Groove is obviously a comedy and Robin Hood kind of falls into that line as well. Each of those films don't hold a mature feel through them. Hence why i think Disney found it acceptable to produce these names for the special edition. So as far as hunchback getting a rediculous name, i don't see it that likely because of the nature behind the film. films i can see having "funny" names...

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Hercules
Lilo & Stitch
Home on the Range

That could be why Tarzan didn't get a weird edition name. anyway, that's my opinion.

I'm going to have to completely dissagree with you on this part. I feel that "Dumbo" doesn't relly very strongly on gags, but is supported by it's charm. It's more cute than anything. Nothing in "Dumbo" makes me laugh out loud, but there are plenty of moments that evoke an "awww" out of me, such as little Dumbo marching in the parade holding his mother's tail, the "Baby Mine' sequence, and the end when Mrs. Jumbo has her own personal trailer thanks to her son's fame and Dumbo flies into her trunk. "Dumbo" was made on a much smaller budget than the previous features. There is only one multiplane shot and none of the backgrounds are nowhere near as detailed as we've seen before, but it is extremely well animated and holds my interest for the whole hour without making me bored once. I think because of the overal simplicity and cuteness of the film, it often gets shoved into a "lets advertise this exclusively at kids" catagory in the Disney company, but it really is deserving of a great 2-disc edition and I would love to see it added to the Platinum line. "Dumbo" has a different feel, and I feel that all of the Disney films from this period have their own feel. "Snow White" is not like "Pinoccho." "Pinocchio" is not like "Bambi." The Disney animated films back then were like the Pixar films now. Each one new, innovative, and exciting. I don't considder "Dumbo" to be among my top 10 favorite Disney animated classics, but it is an amazing film on it's own merits, and was Walt's favorite. He said that it is the only one of his films that he doesn't look back on and say "I should have done that differently."

am I the only one that hated the animation in dumbo? it looks soooo bad compared to bambi and snow white. I mean I know it was a smaller budget but it sure shows too. i dont know it might have had to do with the big top edition turning me off to the whole thing too so I dont know. maybe if it was released as a platinum with GOOD restoration I would have liked it..... I know iv said this a million times already but here it is again :P
