Do you have the link still?? I'd love to see all of that.

From the Disney Afternoon we saw the Gummi Bears...in 1989. Though I don't know if it was a figment of my imagination, but I remember seeing the brown Gummi Bear (the one with the green hat) come out with Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, etc. on Main Street.

A rare character I've seen was Governor Ratcliffe. It was sad b/c know one wanted to meet him since kids were scared of him or they didn't even know who he was. The poor cast member accompanying him kept saying "Come meet Governor Ratcliffe from the Disney film Pocahontas" and people still wouldn't remember. Even after he practically shouted that, some people would ask, "Who is this?" sigh...

Also, I saw in a promo picture for DCA, Vinny from Atlantis.

The Halloween parade at WDW had Rabbit and Kanga and Roo as well as Maggie, Grace, and Mrs. Calloway from home on the range, but they didn't move. Capt. Hook and Maleficient rap in that parade with Frollo and Queen of Hearts on guitar and electric keyboard, hehehe. Also the three hitchhiking ghosts appear in this parade as well.

Yeah, I love that Halloween parade, I also think Gaston plays base guitar in that parade. But nothing beats Maleficent rapping.

the halloween parade @ WDW is the BEST!!
They used to have live dalmatians in it w/ Cruella- but not anymore...
Headless Horseman still makes a run before the parade...
The hyenas are in it too. And Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar.
Alot of characters u dont normally see are in this parade. Wicked awesome...

Here's the website I was talking about before:

http://www002.upp.so-net.ne.jp/mmw2/dfm/photoauto.html

Almost everything is in another language though, so you all will probably have to rough it through the mass of pictures. Enjoy!

Thanks FantasiaMan! You were right, the pics are awesome! You can translate the site through a web translator. I used babelfish.altavista.com . All you need to do is copy and paste the web address in the Translate a Web Page and select Japanese to English from the drop down menu. It doesn't translate exactly (e.g. Goofy translated into "Goo fee" and Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible is " Ink ready bull lady." I guess the Japanese translate the sounds and not the meaning. I know they do this for the lands in the parks.), but you get a much better idea of what is what than a bunch of ????????????s.

The site has a lot of great pictures, and I hope other people go and see them, because they're amazing and so many! Here are a few I found most interesting:

Boo!

Rare characters from Japan: Marie, Clarice, Prince Eric and Max, Sultan, Abu, Sebastian

Tokyo Disneyland Countdown to 2006! Look who it is!

Okay, anyone else see something fishy going on behind Cinderella and Aurora's backs:

Are the costumes water proof? http://mmw.fc2web.com/hkdhhcpacg050914.html

Japan's cast of Disney Princesses: http://mmw.fc2web.com/tdlcpabol.html

I remembering seeing pics of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable face characters b4. I googled and found this interesting page: http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/gallery/218245/12/8429602

They look pretty cool as humans. Though they should probably cast younger people since they look like college/grad students, hehehe. I remember a Peter Pan we met looked and sounded really young, and other times he's the right height, but looks so old.

Thanks for those links Timon/Pumbaa fan! :) Man, too bad those shows no longer exist. :(

I was noticing Marie from Aristocats seems to be popular in Asia. I've seen pics of her in both the Japan and Hong Kong resorts.

Man, I want some José Carioca and Panchito pics!

I'm always amazed by just how many costumes Disney has backstage. I love when they break out rare ones, but it's not often enough these days. That link was great. Here is another great site for character pics & autographs from WDW, including plenty of rare ones and where they were spotted: http://home.att.net/~disneysue/characte ... cters.html

Oooh! That's an awesome site too. Thank you for sharing, Aaron! It's much easier to navigate and find what you're looking for and how to look for them yourself.

Lol, all this talk or rarity and where to find the characters reminds me A LOT of the Pokemon game boy game! Gotta catch 'em all! That would make a great WDW video game...hunt for the characters and get all their autographs and a picture! :)

Yeah, that's a really good site. They are missing some characters (I was waiting to see Hades as "super extremely unbelievably rediculously rare") but I'm sure more will be added as time goes on. But, I enjoyed their comments.

Hades seems to be in parades (at least at MGM), but I guess I never really see him walking around. Not enough villains stroll about. The Queen of Hearts probably walks around more than any other.

Thanks Aaron! That was interesting!

Is it just me, or does Scrooge McDuck just look like Donald in Scrooge's outfit.

Also I was rather surprised that "Big Bad Wolf" was consider really rare. I see him alot! Well not as much as I use to, but more than alot of characters that they ranked easier to find. Odd.

Yeah, I've only seen Hades in The Halloween Parade on his awesome float. Oh, and in the car parade. Other Villains I've seen around include:

Maleficent (My proudest character find)
Jafar (Easy)
Cruella (So easy it was unbelievable)
Snow Queen (Pretty Easy)
Snow Witch (Fairly Hard)
Frollo (Pretty Hard)
Ratcliff (Easy)
Foulfellow (By Coincidence)
Prince John (Easy)
Queen of Hearts (Easy, she was everywhere)
Gaston (Very very good coincidence, I was shocked when I saw him on Halloween.)
Captain Hook & Mr. Smee (Easiest)

Was he walking about and signing autographs? Or was he just in a parade?

I remember going to DisneyWorld when I was 8 & I distinctly remember seeing Mr. Toad. He was in Fantasyland near the Dumbo ride. Has anyone else seen Mr. Toad before?

Speaking of Characters......

Post by FantasmicGyrl24 »

I'm looking to get all autographs from every character at every single park from Tokyo Disney to Euro Disney, and was wondering if anyone could help. If you want my small list of who I"ve got already, I'll be happy to send it to you. Thanks!
