Stunning!
Link please? I Googled his website but can't find that post...kurtadisneyite wrote:John Kricfalusi, key talent behind MIGHTY MOUSE THE NEW ADVENTURES, and creator of REN & STIMPY, had a post about TANGLED on his web site, which ended up with more responses than anything else he's had there for a long time.

Only 3 AFAIK, and the one in France showed only 20 minutes. Par for the course for animation, from what I understand.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I right in thinking that Tangled has had more test / preview screenings than any other movie of recent times ? Or do all films have as many, just Tangled's information has leaked more so than other films ?
As well you should be. Even in rough animation, the lanterns in the sky were breathtaking.UmbrellaFish wrote:I think this is the first time this plot point has been revealed? I know it's the first I've heard of it, because that one piece of concept art has always intrigued me. Very excited to see this particular scene in the movie. In exchange for the stolen goods he brought with him and she took from him, Rapunzel demands Flynn to take her outside the tower to see the mysterious lanterns which populate the sky on the evening of her birthday.
I said this is the farthest they have strayed. If you stray farther and farther, well, you know it won't look like the original story at all any more if that happens.Goliath wrote:No, they didn't stray far...
The Grimm's didn't call their original "household tales" fairy tales either. I would call the original Pinocchio a fairy tale. Anyway, the way Disney did Pinocchio was like a fairy tale and it's become one now.mawnck wrote:No, Pinocchio wasn't a fairy tale either. It was written in 1883. Amy, they aren't really calling her dirtface. It really more like a way of saying "Cinder girl". The "ella" is just a feminine ending. Remember, the one sister called her Cinderwench, the nicer sister called her Cinderella, a much nicer name. And in the Disney version she may even have been born with this name, because "cinder girl" is kind of nice when you think about how it's the remnants of burning wood combined with a girl.blackcauldron85 wrote:That's one of the funniest things I've read, maybe ever.I definitely need to incorporate that into my "We're having a lull in conversation, we need something to say" repertoire.

That's what I thought, too. It's a much prettier dress than the usual pink one.The Little Merboy wrote:I like that Ariel is wearing that dress, in the photo. You never see her in it
