Frozen: Part III
Say, why did you bash Elsa's design in that poster yet refer to this piece of fanart as nice? Do you take issue with the general design or just how it was portrayed there?Sotiris wrote:Nice fan-art of Elsa by Skye Crystal.

Disney should just make one character and re-use it similar to the Barbie series. That way we wouldn't even worry about thinking their female characters would look different from one another.
And I just feel so...I don't even...oh my God! at Elsa.
Wow, if this hasn't gone completely 180 degrees from where it began. Hopefully at least a nice soundtrack will come out of this.

Yeah, I'm not surprised they copied Ariel's design for those reasons. Doesn't make it suck any less though.Tangled wrote:Anna...is <strike>Rapunzel 2.0</strike> Ariel 3.0. Honestly, is that really a surprise? When you have a character that's so popular with little girls and other demographics a company who cares mostly about money is going to want to try to mimic said character's design once again.

Why does it matter? It's just a photoshopped image of Flynn Rider I found online. I thought that was obvious.qindarka wrote:Sotiris, could you post your source for that image? Thanks. I tried reverse searching it and came up with nothing.
In any case, here's the source.

Yeah I think all the fake stuff gives them more reason to put something out soon. They need to come out and say 'okay people, stop looking at the fake crap. Here's the real deal.'Sotiris wrote:Just because the animation is at an early stage, doesn't mean the designs haven't been finalized.PatrickvD wrote:The Animation Guild blog's updates indicate there's very little actual animation done, so we won't see anything even remotely official anytime soon.

But it's difficult to promote a movie that's 80% storyboard. They're probably still figuring out the tone of the marketing campaign. Tangled had 'Hidden Tower' promos at this point. I'd rather they wait until the movie takes shape before they give us posters and trailers.Sotiris wrote:Just because the animation is at an early stage, doesn't mean the designs haven't been finalized.PatrickvD wrote:The Animation Guild blog's updates indicate there's very little actual animation done, so we won't see anything even remotely official anytime soon.
Avatar's trailer didn't come out until very shortly before the film's release. So success isn't an issue.
And of course the designs are finalized. The movie wouldn't be coming out this year if they weren't. I'm guessing that designer working on it was right. The poses aren't finalized. Anna looks dead into the camera because it's probably a blank design for the marketing department to handle. Just a guess.
