And again, it's not about brightness, it's about color choices.
For some reason the dvd feels like a style/time clash.
It looks way too computer-ish and modern. A computerised 2005 look with modern colors. It doesn't fit.
It looks like a "modernised" film, with a lot of work done by computer, which is true, and it shows. In terms of color and overall look.
Computers like that didn't exist in the 50's.
The "a dream is a wish" scene looks like a cheap sequel.
