Monster-in-Law - Hilarious! Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez are a perfect ensemble!

The Little Mermaid - Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Need I say more?

The Parent Trap - I caught the new version this morning on the Disney Channel. I haven't watched it in years. Lindsay Lohan was such a sweet little kid, too bad she grew up to be a drunken whore.

Hilarious! This is such a funny movie, too bad I don't have it on DVD. Even though Amazon has it for $9.99 plus tax. I wish I could use the internet to buy stuff.

The best part, of course, is "Jingle Bell Rock"

Two nights ago I watched John Tucker Must Die and The Devil Wears Prada. This was my third viewing of John after seeing it in theatres twice, and my first viewing of Devil. I enjoyed them both quite a bit. Last night I watched John Tucker Must Die and tonight I watched John Tucker Must Die. As of now, I'm watching John Tucker Must Die. I really don't like this movie...

I started rewatching Mean Girls yesterday. During school, in math class, I've been watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and we'll probably finish it today. And, for being a fantastic student, during 5th, 6th, and 7th period, I get out of those classes, and watch a movie with my other friends who didn't miss anything over a course of 3 weeks. I mean, it's not a lot of stuff. All you have to do is your homework, be prompt to every class, and take every single quiz and test. No biggie.

Watched a couple of good action movies:

The Transporter and The Transporter 2. Just felt like watching something that wasn't too taxing on the brain today and these two filled the bill. Lots of action, some good looking stunts, and a couole of cute chicks, this movie has it all, and it truly is mindless brain fodder. Good way to make three hours go by really quick.

Watched Little Miss Sunshine on DVD last night

Normally I am not a big fan of Independent films, but this one was actually pretty good. It had a nice story and a few funny moments.

Last night, I was watching Batman Forever in an effort to help put me to sleep. Instead, I stayed up the entire night watching it. I forgot how much I actually enjoyed this entry of the franchise. Of course there are many misses among the great hits, but it makes for a worthy conclusion to the Batman Trilogy (becuase as guilty-pleasure as Batman & Robin is for me, I would not like to count it towards the official Batman films canon).

Hits/Misses:
-Val Kilmer as Batman/Bruce Wayne - Kilmer was an excellent Batman, better than Keaton and waaay better than Clooney. But his Bruce Wayne might as well have been a statue.
-Chris O'Donnell as Dick/Robin - While I can understand the rage, I couldn't care enough for the character in the first film to want him to do anything about it.

Hits:
-Nicole Kidman as Dr. Chase Meridian - there's just something so intriguing about her character, she stands on her own versus Bruce, and even knew the secret by the end of the film.
-Bruce's Flashbacks - it gave a lot more to the character, and helped define both himself and Batman.
-Some humor - some of it was nice witty banter, some of it was clever nods to the original tv series ("Holy rusted metal, Batman!")

Misses:
-Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face - Too over the top and campy to be taken seriously as a villain.
-Jim Carrey as The Riddler - Ugh. That's all I have to say. Ugh.
-Most humor - some worked as said above. Most didn't.
-The Story - wouldn't people who's not watching the box notice all that green light and energy being concentrated towards one area...and be worried about it?

During 5th, 6th, and 7th period I watched Rudolph: The Red-Nosed Reindeer, which should be stuck under the "Movies only watch every 15 years" pile. Then we started to watch Elf, and got about 3/4 finished with that movie.

Watched a moldie oldie today: Gary Cooper and Merle Oberon in The Cowboy and the Lady (1938). This movie was blasted by critics when it came out, and for a number of years it considered to be pure garbage. After Cooper died, people started resurrecting his older films and have come to say that this is one of his better movies.

I make it a point never to watch that movie / TV special anymore. If you're not a kid, this is definitely one of those movies that loses its magic. Just going to high school is enough to suddenly make this movie sickening to watch. It's so insulting.

I'm a teenager, and I have to say that this movie lost it's magic the first time I ever saw it, about 8 years ago. And I agree, it is sickening to watch, every time I hear "Ready Santa" I want to go up and kill Rudolph, if he was real.

I did start to watch The Notebook though. Allie and Noah have just arrived at some creepy old house.

I see your point. But, I really think this is a huge family / children's favorite. And I loved it when I was a kid. So, I assumed that, since Disney movies still retain much of their quality years later, that this film/TV special would still be a great watch. All it has going for it is the claymation - which is impeccable. Unfortunately, it's a film best kept on Mute, except for the songs, which are also good. Very infectious. But I'm really serious about that plot, it's very insulting. Talk about the ultimate message of - do anything to fit in. Even Santa Claus was responsible for being elitist and intolerant, though I do think the deer were much worse. And basically, in the end, they only accept him because he's got something they need, not because they actually value him for his being different. Had his nose remained a red that couldn't light up the darkness, they never would have admitted they were wrong or mean.

I'm 18 and I still watch Rudol[h. Sure, it's not the best christmas movie ever an some of the songs are annoying, but it's not that bad.

Last night I watched Christmas Vacation. It's probably the only good Vacation sequel. It had a lot of funny scenes.
