Cool, thanks Robin Hood and Yankees. January 31st? doesn't that seem a bit early
In any case, i'll be waiting to hear some UK release news.

The DVD cover is kind of crappy. But I guess it'll do.
I'll be getting the DVD for sure.
For some reason, I feel the movie didn't make as big an impact on everyone as I thought it would. What happened to all these newfound NBC fans who I thought were gonna push this past the 70 million mark? That let me down.
But it was a good movie, but kind of short.
I guess it did fairly well. And let me guess, it's gonna gain this HUGE fanbase on DVD.

Re: Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride
Why was this movie forgotten/underrated?
I´m glad that Nightmare Before Christmas became the cult movie it is. Deserves it. However The Corpse Bride too if not more so. I like this movie much more that Nightmare.
...and I´d thought that with how Nightmare became a cult movie and the popularity of Hot Topic (and how Nightmare is a thing there) the same thing would happen to Corpse but didn´t.

I agree with you; I didn't see this film until a few years ago, but I think I like it a smidge better than TNBC. Maybe because CB didn't have Disney's marketing dept. to keep it in the forefront of people's minds?

I don’t think it’s better than TNBC, but it’s a good film. My favorite part of the film is the opening with the four parents singing.
The designs are so funny. I like the ballad the Bride sings with the spider and worm in her head, I forget the name. It's been so long since I've watched this. I might go take another look at it again tonight.

Corpse Bride belongs to Warner Bros. and to me it seems like Warner Bros have a harder time to keep their animated films in people's mind. They don't do a very good marketing job. The Iron Giant is a classic but nobody talks about it they people talk about Disney films. It also helps TNBC that it is now marketed as a Disney film instead of a Touchstone film.
Personally I never cared about TNBC, but I did like Corpse Bride. Something about its bittersweetness appeals to me.

I wish it had been made by FOX. That way it would have a shot of ending up in Kingdom Hearts.
Stop-motion is always so visually striking to me. A world based on this film (or even if they brought TNBC back) would be impressive with PS4 (or 5) graphics.

A 4k steelbook is about to be released. It looks really pretty. I don't own the film, thankfully, and it is worth having a copy of even if it's not necessarily a big favorite of mine.
