hey, at least you look younger

Since 16, everyone thought I had 19 years, and today they think I look like 25

Yeah the same thing happened to me at work the other day. I'm 19 but apparently everyone at work thinks I'm over 21 because the were all asking me "hey you want to go to the bar after work today?" And I was like "no, I'm only 19, all that I can order still is a chocolate milk." :D

I finally finished one of my reading books last Tuesday. :D Now I just need to finish The Grapes of Wrath before Monday when school starts. I'm already half way there, chapter-wise at least.

One of my greatest achievements to date:

I went for my first job interview ever yesterday. It's not the most sophisticated of jobs but I think it'll be a perfect starting job and a perfect job to interact with a lot of people.

Now I play the waiting game to see if I get this job. It would be nice to get a job from my very first interview ever. :)

(yeah I'm 24 and never had a real job ever... so what? ;))

Thanks RJKD23 :)

What I forgot to mention was that after that interview I got a phone call to come back in and that was for today not long after I posted here.

Well the same thing happened to my friend who got a job there and it was just to tell her she has been hired so I went in thinking that's all it was.

I was wrong.

The first interview went so well but since I have never had a job like this where I have to interact with customers I guess they wanted me for a second interview and I was not prepared. It was difficult and very uncomfortable and I made a slip-up which could cost me bigtime.

All week I have been feeling so much happiness and I think I haven't felt this happy in a long time. I have had confidence too. Now I feel like the old me. :( (that is not good)

UPDATE: Boy was I wrong. I guess I did better than I thought... I GOT THE JOB! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!

Bring on the dancing elephants!
:pink: :pink: :pink: :pink: :pink:

And a mini-milestone of my own, but I got an A on my World History test today, I'm so happy! Of course, it was community college, 20 questions, multiple choice, and a map, but still I take my victories where I can...

I'd also like to congratulate you! From your online writing style, it seems as if you are a very nice person, so I'm glad that you're hopefully going to be doing great. :thumb:

Oh, and congradulations to Escapay and Ichabod as well!

As for my achievements lately...none, as I'm mediocre. :P

I was only joking there. I was just saying that I haven't achieved any milestones all that lately, and for a laugh, I labeled myself as mediocre.

I have an offer for a university course already! I got a letter in the mail and I feel so happy that the university has accepted me and at a rather early time.

Only in America could I get a job!

But I'm not an American and we're talking about college courses, not a job...

My cars odometer rolled over to 100,000 so it's at 000000 but not because I drove the car 100,000 miles but because I changed the speedometer in my car. OK that's cheating and I have to take it to the dealership to put the right milage on it and get it certified. The new speedometer only cost $300, I just love how these car companys overcharge you for these parts. Oh and if you were wondering why I'm changing my speedometer it was because I broke my old one which was a dumb f*&^ thing for me to do. ;)

Here is a milestone that I hope someone out there can match sometime down the road.

November 25, 1955 - got my learner's permit so I could learn to drive.

November 25, 2005 - Fifty years later, no tickets, no accidents, nada, nothing....the cleanest driving record you could ever want to have. My insurance company is proud of me.

Considering that 45 years of that driving was in California I think it is a record to be proud of. Driving in Kansas is a little different. They don't know how to merge here in the least. One of my favorite pet peeves. Merge lanes are for merging and they don't have stop signs, yet these idiots still think they have to stop and wait until someone slows to let them in.

FIFTY YEARS of driving and no accidents or tickets!! Now that is a milestone to be proud of.

Ha not me I got a ticket for runing a stop sign. I thought it was unfair because I was driving @ 1:00 in the morning when everyone is sleeping and there is no traffic. The cop said "yeah someone was complaining that people were running the stop sign." But at 1:00 in the morning c'mon. I see people run the same stop sign in broad daylight. So where is that cop stopping those people... huh? I demand justice. I should of went to court and argued that but if I lost I would of gotton 4 points off my license instead of 2. So I thought I should just play it safe and pay the small fine. It still was unfair though. Now I'm a perfect driver, I do the speed limit most of the time while people speed like crazy and there's no cop to pull them over.

I can't believe I FORGOT to post a very special milestone that happened yesterday, April 4, 2006...

Yesterday, April 4, 2006 marks the one-year anniversary of MY WORST DAY OF WORK EVER AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM.

It even beats working for 14 days straight once in the summer.

I can't remember if I ever told you guys the story of my worst day of work ever, but yesterday was the one-year anniversary and I had intended on posting about it, but somehow it slipped my mind until now.

So yeah, a major milestone for me: it's been one year since my worst day of work. I felt so horrible afterward that I called in sick the next day, and day after that, and the day after that I had off, so it was a nice three day relaxation before I had to go back to work...
