Disney Duster wrote:Well, Prudence, what I think Ariel'sprince meant, and what is true, is today's little girls tend to like certain Disney movies because they're part of the Disney Princess franchise, and they just like the dresses and looks of the princesses (though I'm guilty of liking the movies for their looks as well, hey, what distinguishes them is their art and designs!). It is the fault of Disney's overzealous marketing of the Disney Princesses as individuality-stripped merchandise decorators. Cinderella's DVD web site said "Staring one of your favorite Disney Princesses!", which says a lot considering Cinderella came from that film in the first place.
Exactly,I"m glad you agree

when they see Ariel they think it's "The Little Mermaid who play dress up the whole day with her fishes",not Ariel, the mermaid who wanted to be a human.
Well, you like their look because of their desgin and animation, not because of their dresses or they're pretty Princesses that appear everywhere.
Yeah,I saw that title on the Cinderella PE website and also about Ariel in the Little Mermaid PE and Little Mermaid Broadway Musical website it's like "Ariel\Cinderella is so popular that after her merchandise she gets her own movie!",it's pretty silly, they also worte on the Pocahontas DVD page that it's "Staring the bravest Disney Princess",I wonder if they"ll wirte something like this about Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty PE website.
