I really hope more actors get added to this movie soon ! Seems a bit strange that only four people in the movie would have large speaking roles.

There’s a lot a stuff they showed us during the D23 Expo, except it was the full clips and not a compilation of these put inside a trailer.

Not impressed at all. It looks like something from DreamWorks or Illumination, not Pixar. I'll watch it anyway but probably won't buy it when it's released on Blu-ray.

Biggest irk for me: It's about a magical land with mystical creatures etc, but the vibe completely lacks a feeling of magic and adventure. It feels too contemporary and maybe too "American"?!

It's like someone took DreamWorks elements and Pixar elements and mixed them together. The world, style, and humor are very DreamWorks-y while the buddy road trip aspect as well as the focus on family is very Pixar-ian.

Well, I'm with everyone else here: I liked the fantasy aspects of this trailer, but the comedy just felt out of place. The wizard at the very beginning looked like a smurf I hope just the movie will honor the fantasy elements.

Oh...I hate the half-dad joke being used as a big motivation for a whole movie! However, the rest of the film has stuff I like! So....I dunno if I will like this film or not.

I thought so too! I was a bit surprised when he turned around and showed his face. The character designs for the movie in general are...not great.

Well it doesn't look great but it doesn't look bad either. I do like the brothers working together and while the half-body idea is weird, it is unique as a means of getting the story in motion. I'll still see it when March comes.

The second trailer looked far better than the first one. I'm not that fond of the character designs either, but you will probably forget about it as soon as the movie starts. And I don't mind that it feels a bit like DreamWorks.

Lasseter was involved in the early development of its story, but he has been away for a couple of years now, so it would be interesting to know if his absence have affected the movie somehow.

This latest trailer actually has convinced me to skip Onward. I might stream it later, maybe. But i'm not wasting time and money seeing it in theaters.

Am really tired of Pixar alaways trying to make the audience cry , the elfs look ugly and the idea of walking around with your dead dad's legs is kind of freaky

I think i would prefer to stay at at home an watch a movie on the Movie projector in my room instead. Saves Gasline too !

If i am being totally honest the MGM Addams Family movie looks nicer than this movie and that had like a 1/5 of the budget of Onward !

Also The Addams Family movie has a better voice cast too !

There really are only two animated movies i am really exited for next year Raya and the Last Dragon and Vivo by How to Ttain Your Dragon Director Kirk DeMicco and frist time director Brandon Jeffords(Hotel Transylvania 2).

I am also curious about Minions :The Rise of Gru, But i need ro know more about the plot and who's in the voice cast before i can have an informed opinion.

I actually find the idea of a mute "Cow and Chicken-dad" interesting. As for Pixar making sad movies and trying to make the audience cry, remember that the studio has been run by John Lasseter in all these years, and that he was the one that greenlighted this project and was involved in it till he took a longer vacation. That's one of the reasons I mentioned him in my previous post and wondered if his absence had meant something, or if his philosophy is still deeply rooted in the studio.
