Dude, Pasta. Circuit City and price match man.Pasta67 wrote:IGN has a very detailed review of the 6th Season if anyone would like to check it out.
I want this badly, but I have to get season 5 first.
Like this:
Season 6 is $29.99 (grab a best buy or Target ad)
Season 5 is $29.99 at Circuit City.
Circuit City's promo is "Buy S6, get $10 off any other season.
I hate to say it, but this week is definitely the place to shop at Circuit City. Or at least use the ad for price matches.

Wait a minute...Dave wrote what I just wrote!

Here is what I think they should do for seasons 7-10. They should go on with the packaging, and have the "old style" FREE at the STORE (where ever you buy) when you buy the DVD. So you don't have to go through all the trouble....So when at the store, you can take the Old Style.
**By the way, I was over at AMAZON.com, and reading on what people say about the NEW DVD, and love the season, but 90% of the AUG 16th reviews are people saying how bad the packaging is!!! People give the DVD a BAD rating becuase of the package, and not what it is on the inside!!

I hope The Simpsons Season 11-17 continue with the family on the couch.
I love the Head's idea but just to make your collection to match you have to call and pay for a new box cover...?

I said it before... it is not just that they changed the packaging but it is WAY cheap. You can tell by the kind of plastic; if at least it had been of better quality. Even on the ign review they said that the packaging started to break.
And on top of that the main packaging opens differently than the DVD holders inside. so it makes it difficult to take the DVDS out.
Opening the traditional packaging:
1. Took off the the main packaging.
2. Opened the DVD holders like a book,
New packaging:
1. Take off the plastic that protects the "head".
2. Open the "head carefully" so the cardboard "X-ray" of the brain and the DVD holders don't fall because of the weight.
3. Take the DVD cases out since they open horizontally instead of vertically.
... it may not sound like much trouble written but actually doing it it is.
I just don't know how they came up with the idea.
But still, as I said... I'm going to keep it as that's the way it was originally planned.
PS
Just guessing, since they already showed the art for the next heads, do you have an idea on when to expect the next season?
**** It is way cool to hear Homer when you call (but is it just me or he sounds kind of weird? There were just a few moments where I could tell it was him).

And I was thinking. I really hope the dont use the same old couch gag for the seasons 10-20. I hope that Seasons 11-15, utilize Bart's chalkboard gag, with the simpson family on the bottom and the chalkboard on top with it opening up between the two (like Home Improvement: S1) Seasons 16-20 need to be the famous places in Springfield, with the Simpson family in the middle and the supporting characters pertaining to the loaction on the Simpsons sides. If I could make examples they would look so friggin' awesome!

As soon as December? When we had to wait so much time between sets?
At lest I hope than even tough they're going receive LOTS of complaints and requests for the regular packaging they keep on with the head style for the next seasons because it will be unfair for the rest of us that decide to stick with the new design.
And as I said, I want them to change the packaging again for the 11th season, not the regular one but a different one so we can have a different style every 5th season.

I bought the 6th season two days ago and I haven't experienced any problems I have read in reviews. Sure the plastic seems kind of cheap but most of the people who talk about the packaging seem to talk about how bleak the new packaging is when it really doesn't seem that bad at all.
I'm still getting the old style box though.
