Are you excited for Alice In Wonderland?

I agree. Though perhaps it's his voice that makes him creepy (I've never met a WDW or DL Hatter cast member, so I've never heard their impressions). It doesn't look that bad, though I wonder just how long that tea party really is because they claim "hours" of fun, and the comingsoon review stated the tea party is tremendously long. Hmm...

Ok, I retract that.Loomis wrote:Pretty tough, seeing he is on the other side of the Tv screen....Jack wrote:The guy in the Mad Hatter's suit sounds like a molester who took the job to get near some kids.
Now that I've seen the photos of him, he IS creepy.
Like, sock-puppet screepy...

The man speaks! Hehehe!
Colin Jacobson has posted his review of "Alice in Wonderland" and, as always, it is very complete. It seems the DVD is even better than I though!
No big surprise on the trailers department, though (but I can't wait to see the trailer for "Mulan II"...
).

No...it says "And more!"Disneykid wrote:DVDEmpire has a scan of the back cover:
Rather dumb they fail to mention anything that lies on Disc Two whatsoever. We also get our first glimpse at that Virtual Wonderland Party...
Typical Disney - play down the "quality" segments.
I understand their rationale for the games and stuff (I just don't agree with it) - they are convinced it will appeal to a "family" market.
But what I DON'T get is why they think people would be put off buying because there are also quality supplements on there as well. Did market research indicate that 87% of parents of children aged 2-9 won't buy DVDs that have stuff on them? Wacky...

Given the limited space on the back cover, they probably want to use all of the space to try to lure parents with games and family stuff. They probably figure that all the Disney fan/geeks already know what is included in the 2-disc DVD anyways.

Still not a reason not to market it.Lady wrote:Loomis wrote: No...it says "And more!"

I mean, there are a large majority of consumers who do not fall into either the "fan geek" or "parent" category.
What about the casual purchaser who may buy the disc based on the supplements?
It is, after all, the "Masterpiece Edition". Perhaps marketing should reflect that...

Someone has posted pictures of the discs and coverart on the DVD File Forum. Unfortunately, I can't see them. If somebody could post the pics here or even send me them by e-mail, I would be the most grateful!

Except without the spaces...
Alternatively, just paste in the location of the image (URL) into the text of the message, highlight and press the Img button (above) and the results are spectatcular!

See! It's real and it's spectacular!

I gave up trying to post those freaking pics on here. I registered with DVDFile (I lurk there regularly, but haven't registered before), tried to upload the images onto villagephotos.com, had to shrink them because they were too big, and they STILL ended up too big, and villagephotos isn't saying what the size limit is, so I give up. This is one of those times where an attachment feature would be handy on UD.
Edit: After looking at the pics more closely, some oddities came up. First off, the DVD case is backwards. What I mean is, when you usually open a slimline dual amaray case (such as Sleeping Beauty or The Lion King), the insert is on your left, and Disc 1 is lying on a tray to your right. Flip the tray over and you have the back of the tray on your left, and Disc Two resting on the actual case on your right. Well, on the Alice pic, Disc One is resting on the actual case on your left while Disc Two is on a tray to your right. Flip the tray over and on your right you have the insert...
Also, the insert states that Mary Poppins will be considered a Masterpiece Edition. Huh??? I thought the ME line would be for animated classic, only. Now Disney's mingling their live action and animated titles into the same edition lines? They never even did that with their VHS lines. Disney's logic baffles me...
And with that, I have officially become a Supah Genius.

The poster who took the pictures did that purposely in order that we could see both discs in the same screenshot. The actual case is just like any other.Disneykid wrote:Edit: After looking at the pics more closely, some oddities came up. First off, the DVD case is backwards.
