As did I. However, this is just a teaser. While the music seems more upbeat than I would have imagined, I am sure the film will be a bit more heavier than we are used to. However, until we see the first trailer for the film, we can only speculate.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Jim Hill's plot synopsis of it made it sound like a real downer, and if it is, then the music choice in this teaser was inappropriate.

That said, WALL-E is so. freaking. cute. The way he said his name gave me goosebumps. Do we know who's providing his voice (under digital manipulation, of course)? Oh, and the artsy montage of Pixar films in the beginning was neato. The animation featured here was shockingly photo-realistic and should be gorgeous on the big screen.

Awww, that looks really cute. Granted it is a really short teaser trailer, but it does look good. When I first heard about the film, and the synopsis I didn't think it sounded very good; however, this teaser has gotten me a little more excited. I want to know more about it...

I envy everyone who has the chance to see a preview!!

Here in Germany the theatrical release date was postponed to 10/3 which sucks for the German Pixar fans, but since I'll be in the US in August I'll go see it there.

Just saw the advance screening tonight, and I thought it was wonderful. It was way better than Cars, and the whole theater was laughing and having a good time (the adults more so than kids). Lifted, the short film before was fun but not as good as previous Pixar shorts. And almost no commercials! (except for Underdog and Wall-E, which looks so cute).

I just got back from seeing the Ratatouille sneak peek tonight. What a CUTE movie, I was certainly impressed. The animation was amazing, as we have seen just from the trailers and previews. The story and the movie as a whole turned out to be really great. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil the film for those of you who have not yet seen it. Ratatouille had many amazing predecessors, and with that said, it was not my favorite Pixar film, but it was not my least favorite either. I was very impressed with the animation and the story; however, I thought the character development was a little lacking. Overall, I was very pleased with the movie and left the theater feeling very satisfied. I will be interested to see what everyone else has to say.

At the sneak preview, I did indeed see the trailer for Wall-E and it looked even better on the big screen. The trailer looks really cute and has me wanting to know more about this film (as is the point of a trailer). The Pixar short "Lifted" which was shown right before the film was really cute. Not the best short I have seen, but it was pretty funny.

Just got back from the screening here as well and loved it! Like Simba3, it's not among my very favorites from Pixar, but not at all my least favorite either. Really a great movie. I encourage everyone to go see it.

I saw the <i>Wall-E</i> teaser as well. It's one of the more promising Pixar teasers (I've never really cared for them), even if it doesn't give much to go on and channels an <i>E.T.</i> vibe.

As much as I wanted to go to the sneak peek, this evening, I didn't get to go. The person that I was supposed to go with never called me to confirm. What a RAT! So, I'll be seeing this first thing Friday, June 29th. I'm actually on vacation, that week. I'll be able to catch an early showing! I can't wait!

I just got back from the sneak peak.

For starters, I'll quickly talk about Lifted. I thought it was funny, and so did everyone else in the theater, but I thought the laughs were kind of predictable (except for the ending). What I'm saying is that the humor wasn't as creative as in One Man Band or Geri's Game. But it was still a good short, and nowhere near as bad as Boundin' (worst short ever?).

Like some previous posters said, Ratatouille's not one of the best Pixar movies, but it's not one of the worst. It's kind of hard for me to compare it to a movie like Toy Story or A Bug's Life because there wasn't a single thing I would have changed about those movies, but there were some things about Ratatouille that I liked as much as or more than its predecessors (Cars not included).

Pros:
- Art direction/whatever the name is for the look of the movie
- Animation
- Characters
- Original story
- Pacing/lengths of scenes
- Score
- Character designs
- Voice acting and casting (John Ratzenberger plays someone named Mustafa, but I'm afraid I don't remember who that is)
- Hilarious
- Unpredictable--but not crazy like Meet the Robinsons
- The ending

Cons:
- There could have been more character development
- As much as I love worshipping Brad Bird, there were some parts of the script that I didn't understand. Maybe this will change after a second viewing.

Ratatouille was (successfully) the most creative out of all the Pixar movies; I think that's why I liked it so much. Now I want to go make some ratatouille, even though I hate zucchini and eggplant!

I would ask what exact message you got out of the film, cause I certainly couldn't find anything to leave the theatre with.

First off, I love Pixar. I think they had, up until Ratatouille, churned out success afters success. I had yet to find any major faults with a Pixar film. I think A Bug's Life is far too underrated. I really liked the heart in Nemo, despite it's rather straight-flowing plot. Monsters played off the heart better though, and had me crying at the end. Incredibles was cool, and Cars was a fun ride. Course, Toy Story is great.

But... Ratatouille.

I thought the film is Pixar's worst yet. It lacks any clear story or theme, leaving me feeling completely unsatisfied at the end. While MTR might've been a bit bumpy, it seemed to have been rescued way better than Bird did with Ratatouille, and I actually prefer Disney's 2007 film to Pixar's. Maybe it requires additional viewing, and I'll be sure to check it out next week with other friends, but overall it just failed to hit any kind of chord inside me. And, from Pixar, I simply expect better than what I got.

I missed the new short at the start, so I can't comment on that.

I was going to go to the sneak peek too but i didnt get to. I wouldve had to take my daughter but she wouldnt sit through that long of a movie. I took her yesterday morning to see a movie, they do toddler length movies saturday and sunday mornings, they last an hour, we made it 50 minutes before she got bored but i knew we;d never make it through this movie (i still cant spell it lol) Im kinda bummed cause I so wanted to see it but maybe next time
