I'm excited for hearing her new single. She looks really cool in her snake-charmer outfit- thanks for posting, James! I liked "Play With Fire" well enough, but "With Love", for me at least, would be better without the techno beat. I wonder how long she'll stick with her new sound...I am excited that she should have another album out next year (and I'm hoping she'll go back to pop-rock...!!!)!

You're welcome blackcauldron85, I got excited seeing her new costume too. Yeah, as much as I like her new sound, I think she should stick with pop-rock and I think it will sell better too. Or maybe do a Lindsay Lohan and penn an album of angry, emotional ballads.

I'd buy it at least!

I'm wondering if she recorded full-length versions of these songs, and they just were edited for commercial length. I'm assuming that she recorded full-length versions. I think that she should release an album of Disney songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hilary Duff is releasing a greatest hits album (her second!) in September to end her recording contract with Hollywood Records, reportedly due to creative differences and lack of promotion.

Walmart is already advertising it as well.

NOOOOOOOOO!!! I don't want her to leave Hollywood Records!!!!!!

I wonder if Raven getting dropped has anything to do with this? Hilary's music career is successful.

That is a pretty picture of Hilary, though.

While I think Hilary Duff is a very beautiful and talented woman, I think she's a far cry from her Lizzie McGuire days...I think because thats when I was a pre-teen with a crush lol and she was more umm...around? Now she seems too far way, probably because shes not longer a tv star. She just seems different now, I think because I liked her on screen Lizzie character...geeze what a dodo i am.

The album picture is just stunning though.

I wonder what direction she'll go in... *nervousness* Hilary is still my dreamgirl, but I can sympathize with jeremy88 to a certain degree. She's still drop dead gorgeous, ha, but I though she was even cuter before that nearly anorexic period she had, when, yes, she was a little rounder. Not that I generally like girls very rounded, but she wore it really well and was never fat (least, not when I saw her).

We love Hilary Duff’s album cover, for her new Best of Hilary Duff CD, which is the last CD she’ll be releasing from Disney-owned Hollywood Records, which will be released September 23rd.

Even though the album photo is from her 2007 Dignity [Japan Version] album, we still love it!

The new collection will feature 12-previous tracks from Duff, but the new album is nothing like her 2005 release Most Wanted.

That's definitely the official tracklisting sigh.

She's going to another record company guys, she's totally not dropped completely. Of course she's successful, she's just had difficultly with HR, because of lack of promotion and them wanting too much creative control.
I personally hate this/love this. I hate it coz who wants a second greatest hits album for a 21 year old who should be releasing a new album? And it doesn't even have Beat of my Heart or Our Lips Are Sealed.
I love it coz it means we get a really good album next year, more promotion (and more albums/singles), and we get a new single/music video from Hilary within the enxt month! But yeah, kinda disappointed.

Yeah seems like it, considering Reach Out hasn't leaked yet, or the video been filmed. It will be up against Lindsay Lohan's 3rd album- Spirit In The Dark. Hmm, that old rivalry again...

DJ Times nominee for America's Best DJ 2008 and known remixer for Hilary Joe Bermudez commented on the new tracks and album in an e-mail.

"Here's something for you to post on your site that will answer a lot of questions:

I know most of you are rather excited for the release of Reach Out. At least that's the impression I get from all the e-mails...hehe I'm guessing most of you heard the original on her last tour? If you didn't, this is one of Hilary's edgier songs. It samples an old Depeche Mode track and looks to do really well for her.

I did a remix of the song back in May that just kind of sat around until last week. Hollywood Records decided to call me 12 hours before I was to leave on a 5 city trip around the US to finish the remix. Because she used Personal Jesus, the song has a unique swing to the vocals which didn't make things easy. I could have just beefed up what they already did, but I got a little more creative than that and gave it a completely different 80's influence instead. I wish I had a little more time with it, but the end result came out pretty cool and definitely makes her sound sexier than the album version.

I also did a pretty sweet dub that I've been playing at my gigs all summer. It doesn't use a lot of vocals since they were hard to lock down to a crazy ass beat, but the groove really gets me going. I really hope everyone likes it.

In total, I have 7 edits on the new CD that is finally shipping next week with a Richard Vission mix to the Billboard panel and Dance radio programmers. I should have my master back this weekend and will post a clip on my Myspace and Youtube pages Monday morning for everyone to check out.

Last, but not least is the new album. While I was out in LA for the VMA's, I heard rumors that it's been pushed back until around Christmas. I am totally cool with this because for once they have decided to include one of my remixes on it. The remix I worked on for Holiday will be track 12. Personally, this is my favorite song of hers since Come Clean. The remix is pure pop delight and I think there is a chance they might go with my version to radio if Reach Out does well enough.

Anywho, I just wanted to update everyone on what's going on. I really appreciate all the support and can't wait to hear what you think of the new remixes
