The Indonesia official languange is "Bahasa Indonesia." You need a Java plug-in to view this site.

And here I was thinking it was the official language of the Baha Men...

HI:
I received the copy today of The Little Mermaid. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I believe is fake.
The cover is toooo shiny, The art work on the disk itself, is not clear.
It’s definitely not a Chinese copy, it’s an R1
It looks beautiful and is playing GREAT.
As soon as I can compare it to another DVD, I will confirm my suspicions.
Thanks

Can somebody tell me if the edges on the cover are squared or rounded?
Also, is it a shinny cover or flat like Lady and The Tramp?
Thanks again

Sounds like you own a bootleg.

The cover of TLM is rounded and definitely not shiny.
There's also a Disney DVD log in the bottom right-hand corner of the front and back.

As long as it plays fine and is indeed the complete film, nothing to complain about I suppose.

Actually it does play nice and it sounds good.
I wont complaint for a $15.00 pretty good bootleg. What does get to me is the fact that I asked the seller the main question "Is it the ORIGINAL AMERICAN R-1 Version?" He answered "YES" When in reality is a BOOTLEG.
Thats what gets to me.

Lets see what happens.

Well, I'm sure the seller would justify it by saying he/she RECORDED teh original R1 version 8)

Oh well. As long as it plays well and you're happy with it ... for $15 that should def tide you over until the Platinum Release in 2005.

Actually, I just watched twice with my girls and Im happy with it.
Its just the moral aspect of it that bothers me. If its bootleg, dont hide it.
Ohh well case close

I agree. It's offensive to your intelligence to insist it's a legit R1 DVD when you know it's not.

There's some crazy chance that they might not know it's actually a bootleg - but then they wouldn't know that it's NOT NOT a bootleg, so they still shouldn't say that. And I'm sure the guy is selling in bulk, otherwise he'd want more than $15.

Mind you, we are probably not the target audience (i.e. we KNOW about Disney DVDs). They are after the people who want the films, know they are OOP, and are willing to buy anything on the net.

Ok, so maybe I AM the target audience...
