Hey, everyone. I'm new to posting on the boards, but I have been reading this forum, plus visiting UltimateDisney.com for some time. I've loved all of the news, pictures, and discussions.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my joy, in that although I have never seen them, I picked up the Aladdin II & III collection at Circuit City, and also got the free plush Genie doll. It is very cute! As Aladdin is probably my second most favorite Disney film, I'm excited to watch these sequels, understanding that they won't be the quality of the original.
The set comes in a box, rather than packaged side by side, at Circuit City, and at Best Buy. Circuit City had the best price ($19.99 plus tax), and, while supplies last, a free plush Genie doll with purchase. Also, at Circuit City, with the purchase of the Aladdin II & III collection, you can pick up Aladdin: Platinum Edition, for $9.99 on the same ticket. Not bad, huh? Since I already have the Aladdin: Platinum Edition, I had to pass on the special price.
Oh, one question I have. I subscribed to the mailing list, but haven't received my copy, and can not find how to access it on the website. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks!

It's probably more useful to those who don't visit the site daily, since it organizes about a week's worth of news from most important down. But all of the old issues are there, and just about all of the text in the newsletter is original rather than copying-and-pasting from the site.

Sorry, oh evil one! I don't have a digital camera, or I'd be happy to snap a picture of the cute little Genie, and the box set. I'm sure someone here will be able to provide you a picture.Evil Genie Jafar wrote:For once I don't care about "the box" .... Tha's because I have my Disney DVDs on a purple Disney DVD shelf![]()

You may want to put it here also.

Very nice indeed. If you have the Aladdin Collector's set, it should look great together.

"You're only second rate!"
This is the Aladdin II & III with the box set. As far as I know, it is sold at Best Buy and Circuit City. The genie plush sitting next to the set was given free as a promo from Circuit City.

And yes, it does look GREAT when put next to the Aladdin Collector's Gift Set!

i am not sure if it was mentioned, i didn't read everyone reply.
but my reason for the Box Set and the Side-by-Side is that it depends on how much space the store would allow the DVD to have, if you get what i mean. considering new releases coming out this week, obviously the Side-by-Side package takes up more space, and maybe Best Buy doesn't want to give it that much.
when Skrek was repacked with Shrek 3D, store like Best Buy and Borders both sold the DVD in a Box set, to take up less space, but store like walmart and other sold it Side-by-Side package.
having little or no extras, i can see why these DVD are being sold in a package together, but i would have prefered to have them be seperate, i am not planning on buying this DVD any time soon, so who care what i think.

I should have gone to Circuit City or Best Buy. I went to Costco and they have the Aladdin sequels side by side. Oh, well at least I got them.
I really don't care about a silly box.
