Aladdin sequels vs The Lion King sequels
I'm not talking about quality here because The Lion King's will win.
I'm talking about fan love for these movies, if you had to have just one trilogy complete, which one will it be?

Hi
The Lion King sequels by far. They were the best, and they had the best story lines and plots.

aladdin unnesessary?? i think it's the exact opposite... i mean... Simbas Pride was pretty good but didnt we say all we needed to say with the first lion king?? it's the same storyline basically as the first just with one extra character... kovu... the rest is basically the same. comparison?:tinkerbell-cup wrote:i have to say lion king sequels, i thought that the aladdin sequels were unnesessary.
Kiara Movie II= Simba Movie I
Simba Movie II= Mufasa Movie I
Zira Movie II= Scar Movie I
Nasty Lions Movie II= Hyenas Movie I
and when you think about it... kovu in movie II is sort of a Nala in movie I... but not nearly as similar as the other characters...
dont get me wrong though... great movie.. great soundtrack.. just a little too repetitive.
now... im not even going to talk aboutthe third movie because Oh My GOD.... it just doesnt get worse then that..
now the aladdin sequels were actually pretty necessary because the first one ended with way too many unanswered questions... for example: what will happen with aladdin and jasmine? (because even though there is that whole end scene where they're on the magic carpet... doesnt really indicate anything about them being ingaged... married... anything), another question... Whats going to happen with Jafar and Iago? Where did Genie go? etc.. etc...
now the third movie may not have been as necessary as the second but it was definatlly not UNnecessary because we learn about aladdins past and family which was never discussed really before...
in short... i think the aladdin sequels are wayyyy better overall never mind the I LOVED return of Jafar... so im basically calling it even between King of Thieves and Simbas Pride... but then you're left with Return of Jafar and Hakuna Matata and there there isnt even a question...

in my opinion these are classics that you should buy... but definatly you should rent these before you by them... whats the point of wasting money on somthing you wont even like? rent it... because like you said... these got mixed reviews...Starion wrote:Ok, some of you like the Aladdin Sequels, but others don't. I'm not sure if I'll like Return of Jafar. Maybe I'll rent The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves before I buy them.
