though many companies have some HDDVD titles scheduled for this year (warner, universal, paramount, fox), Disney and Columbia are not going to release any title for this system, they´re with the "Blue Ray" system...

anyway, both players will be compatible with current DVDs, like the playstation 2 is with the PSOne, so, we don´t have to burn our collections, at least not this decade :D

Since I got a digital camera for Christmas, I am now able to show you my Disney DVD library (it is quite large, taking up nearly a row of shelves in my bookcase

(BTW, if you are on dial-up (like myself) and it's taking forever to download, let me know and I'll reduce the size of the images.)

(Edit: I had to reduce the size of the photos, as they took a huge chunk of my monthly bandwidth space.)

First, the features and compilation DVD's (not including the treasures)

Image

From left to right:

Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Saludos Amigos, Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music (R1), Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, Peter Pan, Alice In Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Sword In The Stone, Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary, Bedknobs And Broomsticks, Countdown To Christmas (cartoon compilation), Monsters, Inc., A Bugs Life, Frank and Ollie (R1), Finding Nemo, Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dinosaur, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo and Stitch 2 Disc Edition, The Fantasia Anthology, Lady & The Tramp II, Aladdin Two Disc Edition, Pocahontas, Pocahontas II, On Holiday with Timon and Pumbaa, Rescuers Down Under, Mulan, Mulan II, A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, The Lion King, The Lion King II - Simba's Pride, The Lion King 3 - The Hakuna Matata, Extreme Sports Fun, Winter Wonderland, Disney's Fables Volumes 1-4 and Everybody Loves Donald.

(Not included here are Sister Act and Sister Act II - Back In The Habit.)

A number of these I have got for Christmas or bought while I was on holiday in Melbourne or just got out of Lay-By from K-Mart (so I have a fair bit of viewing to get through.)

Next, the Treasures:

Image

Top Row: Mickey Mouse Club - The First Week. Mickey Mouse in Black and White, Silly Symphonies, The Complete Pluto Volume 1, Mickey Mouse in Black And White Volume 2 and Davy Crockett - The Complete Televised Series.

Bottom Row: The Complete Goofy, Behind The Scenes of The Walt Disney Studio *, Mickey Mouse in Living Color, Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2, Walt Disney On The Front Lines, The Chronological Donald Volume 1

*= This is the only Treasure release I got which did not come with the tin packaging or the lithograph. Seems it was lifted from a Treasures boxed set.

[edit]now shown here are the 2005 treasures[/edit]

Image

Not shown here (as I haven't received it yet): Walt's Tomorrowland.

I ordered this from the Amazon Marketplace last week, so I am expecting to receive this Treasure shortly.

Thanks, but those aren't records. Those are laserdiscs. Outside of the Star Wars trilogy, most of those LDs will be replaced by DVDs by the end of the year it seems.

Yeah, I got some cases similar to the one that came with the movie Elf, so I replaced all my double disc Disney's with them.

My treasures are in single width cases also, perhaps later I can snap some shots.

I use custom covers. I made some of them, the site I got them from was shutdown.

Top Row: Treasures Wave 1-4; Toy Story, ABL, TS2, Monsters,Nemo, Disney legends, LK 1/2, Marry Poppins.

2nd Row: All 44 Disney Classics SW-HOTR, yes I have Cinderella and Bambi, I made them from VHS tapes, till the come out on DVD. The 3rd Disc from Fantasia, Walt:TMBTM , and Mickey's House Of Villains.

Sorry for the small PIC I cant upload anything to my server right now, this PIC is from an on-line hosting service.

I like your collection, all organised. Since I have my animated classics from various regions the spines do not match at all... anyway, you have your Tarzan before Mulan, it's supposed to be the other way around
