no, they don´t exists at all; Disney should... well not should, MUST release both Beauty and the Beast and Lion King Broadway musicals on dvd, it´s not like people won´t go to the shows anymore, I´ve seen great Broadway shows on dvd like Cats; so these two could make decent dvds, people who don´t live in NY or London could see them
I'ts enough for this restless warrior just to be with you...
Other than the very beginning of the Broadway show, it sucked hardcore. I couldn't believe I spent so much money to see it, and I couldn't believe it had been running for so long. Complete garbage. I figure the only reason it's still around is it's one of the few shows that the whole family can see (toddlers included).

Well, in all honesty I can see how this wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. . .Today4U wrote:Yeah... it's called an opinion... you are so dumb... I mean, honestly... really... seriously.Christian wrote:I guess there always has to be at least one person who doesn't like something.
Personally, I love the African-influenced desings of the costumes and puppetry. I'll probably never get to see the show for myself and I wish they'd release a DVD of it like the way Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was released.

well i must say having seen all three of those that seeing lion king was actually a good choice because it was much better in my opinion then beauty and the beast and im guessing if you'd seen phantom and not either of the disney broadways, you'd be kicking yourself for a lonng time because-well-its not disney! and of people, i would think you'd want to see a disney playJack wrote:I really, really didn't like the Broadway show - and even if I had, I'd still prefer the original movie, I'm sure. It was far too abstract for me to get into. Looking back on my NYC trip, I wish I'd seen either Beauty and the Beast or Phantom of the Opera instead.

Broadway’s Lion King Now Nine Minutes Shorter

What else was removed, I wonder... How do you all feel, what with "The Morning Report" being added to the IMAX/PE of TLK? What brought on this Broadway song removal? Had Disney known that this song were to be cut in a few years from the Broadway show, would they have included a different Broadway song to include in the IMAX/PE version? Surely they chose "The Morning Report" because a) it's a short song, and b) because it easily fit into a moment in the film, but still...it really kind of rubs me the wrong way.

Wow, that's different. I wonder why? I mean, it's not the best song from the production, but it's definitely not the worst. Plus, it adds to the story with the comedy of the scene. This is rather a disappointment.
For the poll, they're completely different mediums and I would have a very difficult time choosing which production is better.
