Medfield College Movies Game

Post by herman_the_german »

Bill Warren just listed some of these in a different forum:

http://sinistercinema.com/cgi-bin/bb/Ya ... 02;start=0

But really, this is the place to do it. The Medfield College Disney movies are not really sequels to each other, though some are.
They are not even meant to be a part of the same universe, since the same actors do not always play consistent characters, though some do.

The point of this thread is to list two or more movies and the element linking them together, even if it only is the college itself. Of course, the more obscure the reference the more it will be appreciated.

Let the games begin!

Very cool thread idea! Unfortunately, the only 'links' I can think of are so obvious as to be not worth mentioning.

How many Medfield College films are there anyway? I think I can think of at least 6. Quite a fun lot of movies too from what I've seen.

I think there are five = Absent minded professor, son of flubber, the computer who wore tennis shoes, now you see him, now you don't, and strongest man in the world.

I guess "Flubber" remake = 6.

The misadventures of Merlin Jones and The Monkey's Uncle were set at "Midvale" college, not "Medfield," IIRC. Sort of a shame in a way.

That's fine, but you're missing the Herbie connection.

the missing film is Herbie Rides Again. Alanzo Hawk is also in it.

I think that the Shaggy Dog also has a Medfield reference in it.

Isn't Merlin Jones / Monkey's Uncle also at Medfield?

Sorry, I'll retract part of my own answer. The Merlin Jones movies are Midvale, aren't they?

But Herbie Rides Again is still right. And I really do think that Shaggy Dog has a Medfield ref in it as well.

Yeah, Missadventures of Merlin jones, and Monkey's UNcle. Were Midvale College. But in Herbie Rides Agan and SHaggy Dog, Medfield College was referred to if I remember right. It has been a while since I saw them.

Oh, sorry, I was thinking "set at." I've seen Herbie Rides Again not that awful long ago, and I have to admit I missed the reference, thanks, it is interesting.

Hi

Yeah I love all of those movies, I recently bought the dvd of Herbie Rides AGain, and when I get it in the mail, I am going to watch it again and see if I remember right that Medifled was mentioned. I am sure it was though. i distantly remember at the beginning when Williby Whitfield (Ken Berry), presented a plaque to his uncle Alonzo Hawk (Keenan Wynn), and I think he said "This is presented to you by the Alumni association of Medifield College.
