How long does it take to become VIP?

How long does it take to become VIP?
I completed my purchase agreement on December 13th and in two days, it will have been a month. So why haven't I been recognized as a VIP member yet? And what can I expect to change as VIP?
It seems to take about 2 months before they actually get it all processed. You'd figure with computers, it would be instantaneous, but not the DMC. They seem to be as slow as possible with everything.
The VIP discounts aren't that great. Mostly promos like free shipping, or buy one movie at regular price, get more at 25%, or 40% off or something. I've never taken advantage of any of the VIP offers because I already have every Disney DVD that I want that is currently available.
