What Non-Disney Movie Did You Just Watch?

Here's a few new ones...

The Polar Express: B- (The animation is gorgeous, and the story's pretty good too. What brought the grade down was a number of scenes which seemed to serve no purpose whatsoever and were quite dumb, to be frank.)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: A- (Didn't like it quite as much the second time. The first half felt way too rushed, even the actors seemed to be rushing through all of their dialogue! It didn't make the first half "bad", it just wasn't great. However, the second half of the film was great, and overall I'm still quite fond of the picture, despite the problems I cited. [and some major book omissions.])
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: Extended Version: A+ (This was my first time to see the extended version, and I of course loved it. Though there were a couple of things that I found unnecessary (such as extended Paths of the Dead), but there were a number of wonderful new scenes which added alot to the picture (Saruman, Mouth of Sauron). Also the little bits and pieces that were added everywhere else really helped to make it a better film overall.)

I just watched 'Reseident Evil: Apocalypse'. I enjoyed it for a good action moive that swept my cares away but half an hour into it I was wondering when it was going to start.

Raccoon city, a fictional American city was obviously Toronto. I know a lot of films are shot there but it looked so obvious this time and I don't live there. I could see the CN Tower and the Skydome in a few shots and I saw the CIBC building. So Americans have CIBC too?
Toronto's city hall was Racoon City's city hall too so that was obvious.

Ah well I like the movie. The ending (last ten minutes) were my favourite part of the movie.

'Spider-man 2'. I planned on watching more on New Year's Eve but I decided to watch MuchMoreRetro mucic videos the rest of the night like I did last year.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events for the 2nd time and part of Eurotrip, which I thought was funny enough to buy and watch the rest, so I probably will soon.

Princess Mononoke: A- (My second Miyazaki film, and like the first one [Spirited Away], I thought it was great. It started off maybe a little bit too slow, but I don't know. It seemed to flow like a book, which certainly isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't work quite as well for movies. But that's really the only main fault I can find with it.)

I just finished watching Dodgeball and honestly it wasn't as bad as everyone has said... Or maybe it was funny because I expected it to be terrible. Also, last night I watched Anchorman and it was only funny in a few spots (when the gang breaks out in song singing "Afternoon Delight").

I watched 'The 3 Worlds of Gulliver' yesterday. It's part of the Ray Harryhausen set that I bought and it's the only one I've only seen once so I decided to watch it before the others. Well it brought back some great mrmories and I enjoyed it even if there were errors.

I watched Napoleon Dynamite yesterday. It was pretty funny (not quite as funny as some of my friends had made it out to be-- perhaps because I'd already heard them quote hald the lines-- but funny nonetheless), and it was refreshing to see someone tackle a non-kiddie comedy at a G level (the movie was PG, but could have just as easily been G).

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King EE. I was actually just going to watch a bit of it, turn it off and do some other shite, but I got absorbed and ended up watching the entire thing from beginning to end (started at 4 PM--it's now 7).

Later I go for the extra features and discs. >)

Just watched "Return of the Jedi". The kids hadn't seen it yet.....they loved the Ewoks or Teddy Bears as they called them.

Have just had the most bizare experience.....tried to explain the relationships between Annakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obe Won Kenobe, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia to my autistic 8 year old....very difficult when Episode 3 will tie up some of the loose ends....would have been an interesting conversation for people to be a fly on the wall on I can tell you.

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle - Check it out! Even the critics love it!

I had a movie fest last night after 'Lost' and I enjoyed all four movies despite what some critics and most people say about some of them.

I had been looking forward to King Arthur since I first heard of it back when it was a rumour but when I never heard many positive reviews on it my interest declined. Well I liked it a lot. It was an interesting take on things.

Harold & Kumar was great. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would and now I crave some White Castle burgers even if they look like cheap-o burgers with little substance. I've never had one ever. When I go to the US again I'll try one.

I liked Anchorman but compared to all four it was my least favourite of the bunch. It was funny and quite enjoyable but not my favourite Will Farrell movie.

I knew Little Black Book was going to surprise me a little. Usually I don't like those types of movies but I really like Brittany Murphy. I'm also surprised it only has a 3.9/10 on IMDB! Oddly I like atleast two Brittany Murphy movies that everyone else out there hates.

went through the whole movie thinking... wat the hell?? but once i turned off the TV found myself thinking it was hilarious

really really cute... but die hard archie comic finds from the 60's prbly wouldnt find it appropriate even though im a big archie fan and i thought it was great... just take into account its not the comic book.
alan cumming steals the movie... he's hilarious...

holy jumping F**kng jesus i havent seen crap like this since pearl harbor. its one of those movies that your just sitting there going... why am i stil watching this? why am i still watching this? WHY AM I STILL WATCHING THIS??!! for some reason.. with pearl harbor i did keep watching... maybe i was too lazy or didnt have a remote or somthing but spy kids forced me to get up and turn it off.
i heard it was bad... but i thought.. how bad could it be? worst comes to worst alan cumming will save the movie. but u know wat? he didnt. he was just the intro guy who explained that u need glasses to watch the 3D parts... which by the way we do not have the tecnology for yet... the red and blue glasses cause unbeliveble headaces and made my eyes blurry for the rest of the day (red in one eye blue in the other...) plus anything that was meant to look 3D just looked closer on the TV screen then other things... no popping or anything... i say they shouldnt release 3d movies on dvd until they figure out a wa for them to actually be 3 dimentional

wonderful! just so much fun! tom hanks has really amazed me in the past couple of movies from this to catch me if you can to road to perdition to cast away to the ladykillers hanks just never ceases to amaze...
loved the concept of the movie... always wanted somthing like that to happen to me... zeta jones is good for wat she is and... wat can i say? i enjoyed it! though if any1 noticed the score (mostly towards the end) sounds curiously similar to the one in catch me if you can.. but oh well... i liked that score too so not so bad

An all-time favorite, this should be essential viewing

A bonafide classic, smart intelligent sci-fi

Okay movie, better than the Blair Witch Project which I hated

Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle
Very stupid but funny movie

Not as bad as people said, but still waaayyy below Braveheart and Gladiator

Garden State
A wonderful wonderful wonderful movie. You must see this soon

Wow I can't believe I hadn't seen this movie yet! I was lucky, they played it on TV this weekend...
It was brilliant! It's directed by the same man as "The Incredibles"
Very very lovely... there were lots of awesome scenes, the animation was excellent!
I loved the Frank and Ollie cameo too
