Still no March Platinum release being listed/rumoured.

I'm beginning to think that this year's Sleeping Beauty means that there will be no Platinum this coming spring.

Isn't this the same Jim Hill Media schedule that was circulating a few months ago?

I think that there's a couple of extra titles or so, and definitely more dates are filled in. Aren't they? I don't think Teacher's Pet was on the other list, and PotC didn't have a firm date for example...

Looks like theyve officially changed the Platinum title to "Special Edition" as next year's october release seems to be Aladdin...

Yeah, where's Holes? And all of the other September releases, the SE of Apple Dumpling Gang, Witch Mountains, Absent Minded Professor, Kim Possible, George Jungle 2, etc.???

Okay, this is kind of off-topic, but I was wondering if there is any word about a 3/4-disc set for all the Spy Kid movies? I heard 3D was the last one, hence Game Over.

Question: when Spy Kids 3D comes out to video and DVD, will the movie still be in 3D or will they just get rid of the D in 3D and call the movie Spy Kids 3?

If you want a complete release schedule guys, that's what the Upcoming Releases section is for.

You should know that! :)

Haven't heard anything about a box set for Spy Kids, but it would seem likely.

Luke, of COURSE we know about the "real" schedule, we're just bugging 2099net about it.

I would love a box set for Spy Kids, especially if it's a 4-disc set with extras from the 3 movies. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Anyway, Remus, I don't know if it'll be in 3D on the DVD, I was wondering the same thing. I bet it'll be just called 3 when it comes out, because they couldn't give everyone all the glasses they need. Think about if someone has four or five kids, or invites their friends over to see it! Maybe they'll make it 3D in some other way, but I doubt it.

well one day at a computer store i saw a "Spy Kids 3D Game Over" game and on the box it said "free 3D glasses inside". why would there be 3D glasses for a computer game? i mean what if your friends wanted to see you play the game but couldnt since they need to wear the 3D glasses also.
also one time i saw a 3 Stooges short that was made in 3D when it came to theaters but when it was shown on TV they had a way where it was shown like a 3D movie without the glasses. maybe Spy Kids 3D will be like that.

Would someone who has seen Spy Kids 3D in a theatre enlighten us about which 3D system is used? Is it the old anaglyphic red/blue (red/green) system, or a polaroid system, or what?

Putting the film on DVD in 3D shouldn't be a problem. I have several 3D films on DVD, and they typically include two pairs of glasses. You can order extra glasses for a small fee in case you have lots of friends. Some DVDs also include a "flat" version of the film that you can watch without glasses (and obviously without the 3D effect). Some DVDs even include dual 3D versions, one for the expensive (but superior) electronic shutterglasses and one for cheap anaglyphic glasses.

I haven't seen it, I want to. I think it's the old anaglyphic system, red and blue I believe. I hope that the DVD has both versions, the flat version and one for the 3D effects.

...and if it is released on DVD in 3D, this would be a great opportunity to package Disney's other 3D films with it (Melody and Working for Peanuts). Or is this asking too much?

Spy Kids is NOT DIsney - it´s MIRAMAX, which should be counted separately, according to the list from The Disney Archives!
