What's your most anticipated movie of 2005?

Post by Sir Hawkins »

Well 2005 is going to be a HUGE year for movies. Which one can you just not wait for? I can't decide between Spielberg's "The War of the World" and Michael Bay's "The Island". Both sound like very great sci-fi thrillers. WotW will be Spielberg's first truely epic sci-fi/fantasy movie since "The Lost World". I can't wait!

I have to go with the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Narnia's my second favorite fantasy book series-after Lord of the Rings-so I've been looking forward to someone tackling the series again (after the low budget BBC series).

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith-hoping it's good, not getting my hopes up though.

It's pretty much a draw for me between Harry Potter and Narnia, but I voted for Narnia. With Harry Potter, I have an idea of how the book will be interpreted for the screen based on the previous ones, but with Narnia, I have no idea how it'll be adapted. This makes me a smidgen more excited for it than Harry because the experience of travelling to Narnia on the big screen is completely new to me (the BBC miniseries doesn't count since it's TV and lower budget) whereas I've visited Hogwarts three times already in theaters. I'm anxiously awaiting both immensely, though, with Star Wars as a runner up.

Star Wars episode III but out of those choices there are about 9 I really want to see.

Have to go with Revenge of the Sith - but War of the Worlds is a very close second.

That's okay; I don't mind. At least the new Sir Hawkins version has a poll attached to it which mine didn't. It's funny, actually. I didn't even notice my thread was gone until you mentioned it.

Lets go with Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire. I'm trying to read the book before I actually see the movie, and so far the begining is...well, I'd like to say "awesome".

1 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
2 The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
3 Chicken Little
4 Star Wars: Episode III

I could care less about the over ones, they all look like crap!

Sadly, my most anticipated film of 2005 has slipped to 2006 :(

Silent Hill: The Movie.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. ;)

And like many others, that most anticipated release is followed by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I couldn't vote because my two most anticipated are tied:

1. Sith tied with Goblet
2. Charlie
3. Narnia
4. King Kong
5. Batman Begins
6. Robots
7. War of the Worlds

Well I actually forgot to put an "other" option in there, so feel free to say a movie that isn't listed! Luke, any chance you could add that option?

Oh boy, that's one I may be even more interested in seeing than Star Wars episode III. Oh and I should mentioned Batman Begins is a very close second to Episode III.
