That's so Horrible!!!!
No, way I'm going to buy this crappy Disney series because first of all the acting is horrible and the story is stupid.
This is one of the worst Disney series ever even Lizzie McGuire is way better.

I don't care for these 1 disc releases of 'themed' episodes, but I'd definitely buy a season set.

BLECH! Raven! BOO!
Did anyone see her new video/song "Backflip" on Disney Channel? She looks really chucky in it. Not to mention the song and the video is really stupid.
BTW, we really do need Even Stevens. I was just watching the show last night and caught one of my favorite episodes - "Little Mr. Sacktown," in which Beans enters a pageant under Louis' training. One of the funniest episodes of the show.

I don't care what you think of "That's so Raven," which I have never watched, but this:
"Did anyone see her new video/song "Backflip" on Disney Channel? She looks really chucky in it."
Isn' necessary. I think the last thing we need to be telling teenage girls is that they have to be shaped like Hillary Duff to get anywhere in the world.

Yes, I'd buy both of those! I want Even Stevens more than any, though.MickeyMousePal wrote:awallaceunc Wrote:

I just read Jack's review. I was lauging throughout due to both Jack's hilarious criticism of the show (my favorite line was "actually I'm glad there weren't more [bonus features]") and also from Raven's facial expressions in the screencaps. I know that the greater UD population hates her, but I think Raven (Symone) is very funny, even if not always delivering an Oscar-worthy perfomance. The show does seem to be formulaic, but fortunately I don't get to watch it enough for that to be a problem. I probably will buy some form of it on DVD at some point (but other shows, Disney and otherwise, come first). It won't be this one, though, as I will never own anything with Stylish in the title. Good review, though, Jack!

Personally, I don't think I would add "That's So Raven" to my DVD collection, but I really don't mind the show. I like the over-the-top slapstick humor and I think Raven is pretty funny. I like the whole psychic idea as well. The show may be predictable, poorly written, and the acting may be over done, but this show is succesfull. The way I see it is that Disney has created another hit tweens show, which they needed since their previously successfull shows, Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens, ended. I see it for what it is: a childrens program that probably won't be remembered in ten years but is a decent show that kids want to watch and get moral lessons from. I don't expect it to have the same effect on me that I get from Seinfeld and Friends.
With that said, I wish Disney would bring out "Even Stevens" to DVD. I think it is long overdue. If they are unsure of it's selling ability, why don't they put the movie out and see how that sells? I don't think they realize how big of a following it has. I also was a huge fan of "So Weird." I haven't seen it in a while, so it could be that I wouldn't like watching it now, but I remember it as being the best Disney show on at the time. I wish Disney would loose the rights or something and Anchor Bay or somebody would release it.
