Question on complete pluto

Maybe I am misunderstanding something but why do they call this new set coming out the "Complete" Pluto? There are other later Pluto shorts it is missing like Bubble Bee and others.

Well, it isn't just "Complete Pluto", it's "Complete Pluto Volume One".

So, apparently, two volumes combined will be the "Complete Pluto"...

Thats not true. A lot of great books are discribed as "the complete .... vol 1" and further on. Even though it is not complete before we get vol 2 it still will be complete

The Oxford English Dictionary says that 'complete' means 'ENTIRE' or 'TOTAL' so for something to be complete the content must be in it's entirety. Having Vol 1/2/3 IS a contradiction. That's the way the English dictionary sees it anyway. If we're talking Americanisms then I'm sure it's right to you guys.

I think the package is misleading. On the cover it just says "The Complete Pluto," and there is a sticker on the shring wrap that says "volume one." So I think it could be misleading to a lot of people.

The Pluto cover is 100% accurate.

It's the complete Pluto from 1930-1947.

Look at the whole tin first.

Yeah that's how it should have been. I never got fooled but it's not consistant with some of the other sets.

It's like they got a little lazy with the packaging this time around or just really wanted to save a buck. The content is amazing though as usual but they probably only cut the packaging budget.

I found out, why the first volume of Pluto just ends up with the first Pluto cartoon from 1947. It's the THEME SONG. Pluto's first theme was first used in "Bone Trouble" (1940) and from then in every Pluto cartoon that followed, even in two Mickey's (Lend a paw and Squatter's rights). The last time the theme was used was "Pluto's housewarming", the last one of the treasure set

After that Pluto got a new tune ... that one, where you can hear Mickey whistle and say "ha ha, hey Pluto". Again, it was used also in two Mickey cartoons : Mickey down under and Pluto's party.
