Which Song Is The Best? - Round 34: BROTHER BEAR

Post by DisneyChris »

Welcome to "Which Song Is The Best? - Round 34"! Here you can vote for your favourite song of the current Disney animated classic in the round, and if you like, you can rank them simultaneously too. Voting period lasts for 2 days. For this round, we have...

Brother Bear

*Because some Disney animated classics have only one or no songs, and I want to ignore the WWII "package" features, the following films will be left out from the game: Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The Black Cauldron, The Rescuers Down Under, Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Actually I like the music from Brother Bear quite a bit. "On My Way", "Welcome", and "Look Through My Eyes" are all pretty catchy. "No Way Out" is a good song to misquote when people let you down. "Great Spirits" was better sung by Phil, "Transformation" is better as it is in the film, but being that's in not in English, it's more mood music.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

Transformation stands out as the most beautiful and original. It rocks my socks! Phil Collins did a very good job on the rest of them too. The only song I think is a little weak is "There's No Way Out", and I think Tina Turner did a poor job singing "Great Spirits".

1. Transformation
2. On My Way
3. Welcome
4. Look Through My Eyes
5. Great Spirits
6. No Way Out

This would have been a tough round for me between voting for Welcome and On my Way. I think Borther Bear is a great movie and the songs are not apprecieated as much.

No way out
John: Pocahontas, look at me. I'd rather die tomorrow, than live a hundred years without knowing you.
Pocahontas: I can't leave you.
John: You never will. No matter what happens to me, I'll always be with you...forever.
