Pirates of the Caribbean trailer there all along?

i just found this easter egg on the 2 disc Pirates set. It is the original trailer!!!!!!

On Disc 2, from the Main Menu access the 'Beyond Deck' option and select the 'Scene Index' option. Go to the second page of chapter stops. Highlight the 'Pirate Ships' option and press LEFT. This will highlight the "ring" on the skeleton's hand. Select it to reveal the Japanese trailer for the film!


O.k., so it's the Japanese trailer......why can't we have the totally AWESOME American release trailer. That one trailer would've been worth an upgrade for me to the 3 disc set, but NOoooo. Now i'll never see it anywhere else, but online.

If you are looking for the American trailer, I do know that Best Buy put out a Coming Attractions DVD in 2003 that included the trailers to Pirates and Haunted Mansion along with several other films. You might try Ebay to see if any are available for sale. It still doesn't make up for excluding the trailer from the Pirates DVDs-but if you really want the trailer it is at least one way of getting a hold of a copy.

This Japanese teaser (actually I think it is a TV spot) is pretty interesting. If you pay attention, there is a quick glimpse of a deleted scene with Keira Knightely being surrounded by a shark.
