National Treasure
Well it's more like 12 minutes, it's not the opening scenes of the film, and it's kind of old news. But hey, I'm sure there are plenty of folks who don't even know there IS a front page!

"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

I did a search on the forums and didn't find it... plus I only thought you put DVD News on the Front Page. Sorry...Luke wrote:Well it's more like 12 minutes, it's not the opening scenes of the film, and it's kind of old news. That's spoilerish, so I'm not going to watch it. I am very eager to see this film.

MMB's National Treasure Review
Plot
The Manson Order left a treasure some where in the USA. After hearing tales from his grandpa when he was younger, Now matured Ben Gates decides to go on the quest to find the National Treasure!
Video
Who ever told Jerry Bruckheimer to shot this movie in a boring 1.85:1? This movie would have benefited of the Cinemascope framing (2.35:1)
Movie
Who would of thought Disney making this movie and actually putting their name on it? When I saw the trailer for this movie I didn't have a desire to see it. Disney and action? Hmmm for some reason in this era of Eisnerism action is the last thing to expect from Walt Disney Pictures than just dozen cheapquels and B class animated features. Boy was I wrong about this movie..........when the movie started I was kinda like oh great a sanitary Disney film......It started slow and it had corny jokes to me but then the whole wheel turned and I got so into the movie. It's great! I think Disney's Third Golden Era will not be an animated one but more like live action one! DIsney and Bruckheimer second helping action movie is a total success! Who would ever thought that both together could bring the Disney action magic back to life? This movie definetly doesn't top Pirates but it's a pleaser and fun! I give it 4 stars out of 5
Highly Recommended!!!

Wow... I just... wow. This film is amazing.
JB really has outdone himself. I was surprised when I got to the megaplex: I was going to see the 9:15 show, and it was sold out!
So was the 9:30! So, I ended up being in the also crowded 10:00 show. I thought Riley was funny. As the credits rolled, 1/3 of the people started applauding. APPLAUDED. They liked it that much. This film is better than POTC.
P.S. To Paka: When this film does well, I have four words: I told you so.

Gee, that's so very mature and diplomatic of you, JM.Just Myself wrote:P.S. To Paka: When this film does well, I have four words: I told you so.![]()
So, how's about we keep that "when" to an "if" still, eh? I wouldn't be surprised if NT had a good opening weekend, but will it have legs? Methinks it won't. Of course, now it looks like I'm retaliating your silly taunts... oy. Why do I bother? e_e
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

YES YES YES!!
I loved this movie!
It was great!
The actors (exept the blonde girl, I REALLY hated her....)
and just everything. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit and I'm sure that my family might enjoy it.
The comedy was, in my opinion, great. Adding comedy, action, romance (gawd, I hate romance) and, as I would call it, stradegy.
It reminded me a BIT like Zelda mixed with Lord of the Rings mashed into one.
Just great. This is probably my number 1 fav live action Disney movie, besides PotC.
