Actually, just_myself, in Tink's defense, there isn't exactly a price limit- just a price suggestion. Besides, Oliver, Britney, A Bug's Life, Pooh, and Pocahontas would all fall within the suggested pricing, and even the Toy Stories wouldn't be a stretch for near that price range (and even cheaper if they were used). So really the only expensive one would be 101 Dalmatians, which is bound to be a used copy, and it can sometimes be found for a reasonable price. Or maybe someone has an extra copy, or is just very affluent and generous!

Mmmmkay.... list ahoy! Complete with UD-referred Amazon links!
As always, my collection (as well as a wishlist) on DVDAf are linked in my signature. Although this list here is a more "focused" selection of my DVD desires, so I'd recommend consulting this one!
First, the big name "mainstream" stuff -
~Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Widescreen (*fangirlish squee* I lurves 'dis movie! Yay for crazy Mexican directors! ^_^)
~Shrek 2 Widescreen (yeah... I'd like to get it; if I can get it for free, that's even better! ~_^)
~Mulan: Special Edition (as others have specified - I would like the slipcover, as well!)
~The Iron Giant: Special Edition (this one's definitely worth double-dipping for!)
If you feel like getting something "seasonal," how 'bout -
~Garfield Holiday Celebrations (I really wish they still aired the Garfield Christmas Special on TV - it was a surprisingly good little cartoon!)
~Elf: Infinifilm Edition (...as opposed to some... other... edition?
)
~The Muppet Christmas Carol (the "pan-and-scam" really puts me off, but it's relatively cheap, still in print, and I love the film, so...)
~Peter Pan Widescreen (2003) (hey - it's a Christmas tradition in Britain!
)
~Wallace & Gromit/Robbie the Reindeer 2-Pack (either one of these would be great, but Amazon had this neat 2-pack available...)
For some kickass live-action films -
~Saved! (hey... anything that cleverly satirizes Christianity is good by me!
)
~Hero (wheee - martial arts eye candy! *_*)
~Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Widescreen (another kRaZy-yet-genius Kaufman flick...)
Now for some of my kRaZy esoteric animation interests -
~The Animation Show: Volume One (this is a bit pricey - but there are so many stunning Oscar-nominated shorts on here - plus Don Hertzfeldt's hilarious fluffballs! ^_^)
~Allegro Non Troppo (again, and bit pricey; I've been meaning to get this ever since it was released to DVD - but then Aaron mentioned it here recently, and it jogged my memory!)
~The Triplets of Belleville (nope - haven't gotten this one either, yet.
I know... for shame!)
~Winsor McCay: The Master Edition (a recently-released compilation of the pioneer's masterworks... Gertie the Dinosaur notwithstanding.
)
~Animal Farm: Special Collector's Edition (the early cartoon of George Orwell's dark parable - sure, it's propaganda, but it's good propaganda! LOL)
~Tom and Jerry - Spotlight Collection: The Premiere Volume (not exactly "esoteric," but I thought I'd throw them on here anyway!)
And finally, some miscellany -
~Teen Titans - Volume 1: Divide and Conquer (this is a great show - unafraid to use all of those annoying anime facial trademarks... ^_^)
~Dragons - Fire & Ice (this is really a "WTF?" kinda choice - but I'm a sucker for fantasy critters - even cheap CG fantasy critters created simply to advertize toys!)
So... there you go! My more-elaborate-than-planned list! I sincerely hope that helped my Secret Santa with some gift ideas! @_@

Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

Okay, I suppose I should do one of these lists as well...
First here is my amazon.com wish list:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/1ASEAIL51K5SY/ref=cm_aya_bb_wl
Even if my Secret Santa doesn't want to get anything off of that list, it at least gives you some idea of what I'm into. I'll also post my dvd lists:
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=maerj
http://www.guzzlefish.com/collection.ph ... 466153c277
I haven't updated the Guzzlefish list for a while, so when looking for DVDs, I'd use the first one. But, the second one lists CDs, so again you can kinda see what I am into. I'm a huge Star Wars fan (sorry Netty
) and also love the Alien movies, Terminator, Predator, Robocop, that sort of thing. Scifi, animated, horror are my movies of choice. I also love Walt Disney World stuff and Hawaiian/Tiki kind of stuff.
Disney DVD wishlist (Region 1, widescreen preferred):
Flight of the Navigator
Old Yeller Vault Disney
Lilo & Stitch Islands of Adventure DVD game
Pirates of the Carribean w/Lost Disc
New release of the Black Hole
There's more, but I am going to have to get off here real soon, I'll have to add more later.
I think another cool thing to add here on our lists is favorite Disney characters, perhaps someone would like getting something they wouldn't expect that would involve a character that they like? Mine would be Lilo & Stitch and Mickey and the gang, after that would be the characters from the Three Caballeros like that crazy Aracuan Bird.

<i>The user formerly known as Tinkerbell</i>
The eleven people who haven't gotten their assignments yet, will be getting their e-mails on Tuesday morning at the latest.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president
DVD (OAR please
)
Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
Speed (Five-Star Collection)
The Fugitive
Catch Me If You Can
Lawrence of Arabia
If you are going the DVD route, please do not get something more recent than September because I likely already have plans to purchase it. You can also use the My DVDs link to get a feel for my tastes.
Music
Any Lord of the Rings soundtrack CD
Jazz/Big Band/Swing music
Books
I am on the lookout for good stand-alone science fiction adventures. While I love series like Foundation and Star Trek, there is a much greater chance that I already own a particular book.
Anyway, those are some ideas for the Secret Santa project. You can also look at past posts for ideas or just surprise me. I will be pleased just to find something in the mail from another UD member.

Here's my wishlist santa
***My number one choice is: AMERICA'S HEART AND SOUL!!!!!******
This is a title that is not available in stores and has been eluding me everywhere. You can purcahse it online, but I'm not too big into that online thing, so this would definitely be the biggest and best christmas gift from any of my friends
If online purchasing isn't your thing, then I say suprise me with anything BBC. This past year I have become obsessed (literally OBSESSED) with BBC. I've gone from collecting Coupling to collecting ALL THINGS BBC. I can't really rent that kind of stuff where I'm from, but here are some series that I'm interested in and haven't bought anything from:
*The Vicar of Dibley
*The House of Cards
*Red Dwarf
*Dr. Who
*Absolutely Fabulous
*Daniel Deronda
If BBC isn't quite your thing either, then another collection I'm working on is a Frank Capra collection. I still need these titles:
*You Can't Take It With You
*Mr. Deeds Goes to Town
*Arsenic and Old Lace
*Platinum Blonde
Lastly, if you're still not happy finding any of the above I have a soft spot for 70s movies like 3 Days of the Condor, What's Up Doc, and All the President's Men (ALL OF WHICH I HAVE SO SUPRISE ME WITH SOMETHING ELSE
)
And let me start off your search santa by saying thank you for whatever you find.........I know I'll like it

I apologize for being so late in posting anything about what I want. Part of the problem is that I already have almost all of the Disney DVDs that I want -- except of course for the Disney DVDs that have not been released yet. I suppose that is a nice problem to have, but it does make it hard to make a wish list.
One Disney DVD that I do not have, but would really like to have is the Tarzan Collector's Edition, but even if you could find it, it is probably too expensive.
My collection is also missing a couple of the Direct to Video DVDs :
An Extremely Goofy Movie (not to be confused with A Goofy Movie)
Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas
I have been told that they were good, but I have never actually seen any of them.
Other than those, my Disney animated collection is pretty much complete.
So looking st non-animated DVDs and upcoming releases :
Walt - The Man Behind the Myth (this was my choice prize for the Disney Contest, so if I happen to win...)
Around the World in 80 Days (widescreen of course)
Mary Poppins: 40th Anniversary Edition
In the meantime, I will continue to think about what else I can add to this list. Although I know that some Secret Santa's have already sent out their gifts, my Secret Santa need not be in a hurry for me. I prefer to get Christmas presents closer to Christmas.
