It's A Wonderful Life

Post by Sulley »

One of the best films ever made. Is there any word of a Special Edition DVD in the near future? I haven't purchased the original DVD yet (I know there have been two releases but all that has changed is the cover) but I have noticed that it's pretty bare. Does anyone own it? Is the transfer good? I don't know when I plan on purchasing it, but probably soon, and these are things I'd like to know. Any comment would be great. Thanks.

[Got my introductory Columbia House DVDs today :D ]

I got it out from the library about a year ago, the Silver Screen Classics I think. It's had a few different covers, but the disc is the same.

Transfer is quite good, and as for extras, there's a documentary hosted by Tom Bosley ("Mr. C" from "Happy Days"). It's pretty good, though I'd very much dig a full-blown Special Edition.

Only reason I haven't picked it up yet is because Columbia House doesn't carry it.

Yeah, I don't understand why they don't carry it. I might just have to get it somewhere else. Thanks for the info.
