Ha! Tell that to George Lucas!Billy Moon wrote:Heh, a restoration isn't supposed to remove mistakes that were originally in the film.jambo*rafiki wrote:The thing is, this is on the "Fully Restored" 55th Anniversary VHS. Hm. I wonder why they didn't catch it?![]()
That would be altering the film. The meaning of a restoration is the opposite, to preserve the film in it's original form.
Things that you didn't get in a Disney Movie

She's female!!! What's the spout for?
I still think it would've made more sense if it was "Every moment gets better"jambo*rafiki wrote:A red letter date is one that is very important - thus marked in red on a calendar. That was a joke meant for the Theatrical release when the audience usually gets up and walks out right as "ThE END" appears on the screen. Theoreticly, they would all be on their way out when suddenly they hear the Genie laughing and would turn around to see what they were missing. At this point the Genie would pop up and say: "Made ya look!"One thing I never get is the end of Aladdin where the Genie is in the moon laughing like a crazy person and then pops up saying "made you look." What is that? Is it supposed to be a joke? Made you look at what? Crazy Laughing Moon Genie?
I've heard people say, "made you look" before but it usually makes sense.
I assumed that everyone was frozen at their ages when they were transformed because an inanimate object will not grow older. Therefore Chip was six when the spell was put on the castle and Since Lumeire said that "Ten years we've been rusting" that would make Chip about 16 if he was still a human. but he was frozen at six because teacups can't grow. Not only that, but how long has the enchantment gone on? (More than a decade, I would say). That kid is probably six, judging by him losing his tooth, so he was probably born a cup. Who did she have sex with shaped like a teapot (and how)?
Actually, the thing I've always tried to figure out is how the Beast could possibly just be turning 21 at the end of the movie!!?? If the enchantments been on the castle for 10 years then the Prince would have had to have been 11 when he was transformed. The stained glass windows of the Prince in the Prologue sure didn't look like no 11 year old. so I thought that maybe "21st year" meant 21st year as a beast and not necisarily his 21st birthday. but then that would mean the last petal was falling from the rose 11 years early if they have only been under the spell for ten years. So if the Prince was 11 where was his mother and Father. Even if the servants were looking after the Prince you don't think that the mother and father would look in on their 11 year old son from time to time. This is one thats always bugged me cuz I've never been able to work out a rational explanation for it.

I always thought that the glass slippers didn't change back because they were a gift from the fairy godmother. After Cinderella and everyone run into the trees and everything turns back to normal, the mice point out the shoe to Cinderella and she picks it up, looks up and says Thank you.Ling's Daughter wrote:That's a very good question...something went wrong with the magic?Marielle wrote: -Hey that is a good one. But look at it this way, if that didn't happen, the Prince may never have found Cinderella!Still..it's interesting to think about...

The ending of Haunted Mansion comes out of nowhere. Exactly what was supposed to be happening there? A big fire monster comes from the ground and devours the bad guy and all is well? Huh?

the fairy godmother probably used the glass slippers as the key to making Cinderella's dreams come true...well...you get what I'm sayingEscapay wrote:LOL, maybe they didn't change back because they got separated?JaneMccoy wrote: I always thought that the glass slippers didn't change back because they were a gift from the fairy godmother. Thanks for the explanation, Artlad! It makes sense to me now. I had never seen it in theatres, so I never thought of it in that way.Artlad wrote:That was a joke meant for the Theatrical release when the audience usually gets up and walks out right as "ThE END" appears on the screen.
