Name your favourite animated Disney character voice talents!
My personal favourite voice talents use in Disney animated features are as follows : -
Adriana Caselotti Snow White
Lucille La Verne The Queen/ Witch from Snow White
Sterling Holloway The Stork in Dumbo, and the original Winnie The Pooh
Eleanor Audley, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty /Lady Tremaine from Cinderella,
Phil Harris as Baloo from The Jungle Book
Verna Felton as The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella/Flora in Sleeping Beauty,
Clarence Nash as Donald Duck,
Walt Disney as Mickey Mouse,
Pinto Colvig as many many characters!!
These voices are not in any particular order by the way - I like them all equally, and they and countless others have lent an immense amount of enjoyment to many Disney classics, jut try watching any Disney movie with the sound switched off and see the difference!!
A good voice helps to create a memorable character, and lends credibility to that character.

I think Pixar often gets great matches for their voices. Unlike DreamWorks, Pixar doesn't pick their voice cast to promote the film, but rather to serve it. Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, John Goodman, Billy Crystal (actually those were mentioned for <i>Toy Story 2</i> and <i>Monsters, Inc.</i> but not to the degree where they were shown in previews, or anything). I thought <i>The Incredibles</i> was well cast as well.
Looking back through Disney films, Phil Harris makes an awesome Baloo (and a not-too-bad Thomas O'Malley either). Robin Williams, Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella made for good comic sidekicks. (<i>The Lion King</i> and its sequels had particularly inspired casting, that worked seamlessly, even transcening ethnicities). James Woods makes a great villain, too.

Sterling Holloway is probably my favorite of all the Disney voice artists. He has a very unique voice, which he used for a great variety of characters. Of course, the highlight is Winnie the Pooh. His work as the silly old bear is really taken for granted these days, but he performance really defined the character so well. Honestly, I don't think Pooh's character would be nearly as popular today if it weren't for Mr. Holloway adding that special quality to him.

Um
Walt Disney, who was the origional voice for Mickey Mouse, when Walt was Mickey's voice he was so awesome, now Mickey Mouse sounds like some looser.

I loved the guy that did Dopey, lol
My vote for favorite voice talentwould naturally go to Ellen Degeneres as Dory.
I also get a kick out of recognizing Tress MacNeille's voice everywhere, probably because I never heard Daisy's voice until Mickey Mouse Works/House of Mouse and it easily made her one of my favorite characters.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see someone mention Tony Jay, since he is often overlooked. I loved his performance in Hunchback, especially on "Hellfire".azul017 wrote:- Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel)

I like whoever speaks for animals. Especially horses! They're so good at it and its so realistic. Dogs and Monkeys are somewhat easy to do, so I don't applaud them as much, but still I applaud them for doing a voice for an animal (I mean not an animal animorphic humanoid, but a real animal that barks and neighs and ooh-ooh-ahh-ahhs). I myself can do a Monkey. It's so much fun but I get so out of breathe from it. Now I'm rambling so I"ll STOP.
I also like Eleanor Audley, Mary Costa, Ilene Woods, Ming-Na, BD Wong, Pat Morisomething (the Emperor and Mr. Miyagi), Tom Hulce, Katherine Beaumont, Russi Taylor, Wayne Allwine, Clarence Nash, Tress Macneille, Jim Cummings, Corey Burton, and
whoever does Goofy and Donald today, Yakko Warner and 625, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Merryweather and Lady....
I'm sure there is more, but I can't remember all of them.

I was going to post this in an older topic...this one to be exact. But I am posting here since it is a more recent topic.
Anyhow, I was searching on IMDB for Mulan because I thought the voice of Grandma Fa (June Foray) sounded a lot like Granny on Looney Tunes and I was right! But I kept scrolling and I learned that she not only did Granny but also a slew of other animated characters.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that she was also:
~Witch Hazel ("Trick or Treat" Donald short and in various Looney Tunes shorts)
~Lucifer (Cinderella)
~Mermaid and Squaw ("Squaw get'm firewood!" from Peter Pan)
~Mrs. Featherby/Ma Beagle/Magica De Spell (Ducktales)
~Grammi (Gummi Bears)

BD Wong cos hes so gorgeous in real life
I agre jeremy irons is so slick and smooth in the lion king, and judge claude frollo is wonderfully voiced.
ursula of course, and pocahontas- she is so sincere in her performance, IMO pulls of that movie by herself!

Jim Cummings all the way!!!
He is such a great voice actor. He can imitate a lot of different characters such as Pete, Winnie the Pooh, Kaa and Tigger without sounding too similar. He also voices countless miscellaneous characters. There are even rumors that he did the last stenza of Be Prepared to replace Jeremy Irons in The Lion King! He is sooo amazing.
