The Chicken Little Trailer!

Post by glenn »

I can't belive nobody has mentioned this yet, but it's up on MSN, you can find it here:
http://movies.msn.com/movies/FamilyFilms/ChickenLittle.
There is also a link on the front page.

I don't really like it. First of all it's seems like there will be a new Disney PG rated film, and why do that to the first CGI film? Wouldn't they go for the whole audience, since this is sort of a "test" film? But that's just a part of it. I really don't like the character design. The pig looks awful! I do like Chicken Little though, and the voices are pretty good. But I'm still left with this bad feeling from the trailer, that this is not a good movie... Well, it is just a trailer...

Does anyone disagree with me? I have to watch it again, and than I'll be back with more thoughts...

Check out this very interesting page:

http://www.ultimatedisney.com

It's been there for awhile.

EDIT: Never mind, I noticed you mentioned the front page. I thought this was a thread saying "I can't believe no one reported on the board that the trailer's out".

I should read slower.

I'll probably watch the trailer tonight, as I'm at a computer lab so there's no sound :(

I love it... it has the same type of humor that made Emperor's New Groove great. Mark Dindal is a genius. And Zach Braff will be awesome as Chicken Little. I have complete faith in this movie. I loved what Chicken Little's dad said at the end of the trailer, it looks so hysterical! I can't wait

Well, I like the humour, and the story seems exiting, nothing like I thought it would be. But I still can't seem to like the character design for the ones in the movie that aren't chickens. Well, I do look forward to this film, don't get me wrong. The things that bug me now, will probably grow on me so that I will end up loving this film when I see it, and then be kicking myself in the leg because I once said that the trailer wasn't good... Lets hope it ends up like that!

don't worry, it's a trailer  I love the approach with the global images in the beginning, very clever trailer. I expect this to be playing in front of The Incredibles? I think this movie will be a hit.

I thought it was pretty good, nothing amazing like the Incredibles though. I'll see it.

Looks fairly fun and hopefully it'll be good. But Disney magic just can't translate into CGI.

Um, aliens? Is that what they are turning the story into? Hopefully, its just a parody and not really what the movie will end up being like, cause that's a bit lame. Other than that, I liked the look of the characters, and the trailer was well done. Very anxious to see this.

BTW, this is a minor point, but has anyone seen anything as to wether or not Disney is including this in their list of Animated Classics?

Wouldn't Dinosaur count as the first Disney CGI film, and this second?

well, I've read Disney's version of Chicken Little picks up right after the original story. In the original Chicken Little reported the sky was falling while that wasn't true. In this movie, he "saw the signs" and now nobody will listen to him, let alone believe that aliens are about to attack. So now it's up to Chicken Little and the few animals that believe him to save everyone! It sounds funny to me.. and kinda redicolous at the same time

well Dinosaur wasnt 100% CGI, it was mixed with live action I think. It was also created at some place they called a "secret animation lab". But I think it was closed down after Dinosaur underperformed. Let's just pretend Dinosaur didnt really count :P

it doesn´t look like a Disney Classic to me, but I think it will be a very nice movie.

The "Chicken Little" title reminds me a lot of "Stuart Little" though.

Actually I'm pretty convinced that "CORE Technologies" did Dinosaur together with Disney and Disney tried to name them their "secret lab". CORE is also creating the upcoming "Disney movie "The Wild".

I think Chicken Little is absolutley ADORABLE and Zach Braff is great on Scrubs, so we'll just have to find out if it is good or not July 1st!

Dinosaur was a live action film with computer generated characters. All the locales were real; I should know, they filmed them partly in my area.
