Which Song is the Best? - Round 30: FANTASIA 2000

Post by DisneyChris »

Welcome to "Which Song Is The Best? - Round 30"! Here you can vote for your favourite song of the current Disney animated classic in the round, and if you like, you can rank them simultaneously too. Voting period lasts for 2 days. This round is a bit special: we vote for segments, not songs...

Fantasia 2000

*Because some Disney animated classics have only one or no songs, and I want to ignore the WWII "package" features, the following films will be left out from the game: Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The Black Cauldron, The Rescuers Down Under, Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

I left out The Sorcerer's Apprentice because it was already included in the original Fantasia.

2. Piano Concerto No. 2, Allegro, Opus 102 (The Steadfast Tin Soldier)
3. Pomp and Circumstance
4. Carnival of the Animals
5. The Firebird Suite

7. Pines of Rome

1. Pomp and Circumstance
2. Rhapsody in Blue
3. Pines of Rome
4. Carnival of the Animals
5. Firebird Suite
6. Piano Concerto No. 2
7. Symphony No. 5

The Noah's ark scene of the movie moves me in a way that few animated movies can. I am totally sharing Donald's joy at the end.

This order is for individual segments. I like the order and flow of the segments within the movie and with accompanying interstitials. Hey, that could be another poll: best interstitial or guest from Fantasia 2000!

It isn't songs but classical music, there's a little difference ;)

My favorite is a piece of Camille Saint-Saëns music : the Carnival of the Animal

A lot of nice peices here, but RIB takes the crown for me. The music itself is some of my favorite, and the animation paired with is an additional delight.

1. Rhapsody in Blue
2. Symphony No. 5
3. Pomp and Circumstance
4. Piano Concerto No. 2
5. Pines of Rome
6. Firebird Suite
7. Carnival of the Animals

My favorite piece from the film is "Rhapsody in Blue."

I'd rank them like this:

1) Rhapsody in Blue
2) Pomp and Circumstance
3) Symphony No. 5
4) Firebird Suite
5) Carnival of the Animals
6) Piano Concerto No. 2
7) Pines of Rome

Of course, The Sorcerer's Apprentice would probably top the whole list if we were considering that.
