Hi. I'm Steven. 19. I'm a big animation fan. My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. I'll be honest and say I prefer classic Disney or the rebirth in the early 90's. I haven't payed attention to any of the recent movies..not including the Pixar releases. I've been reading the forum for a while now.. just never bothered to post. Anyways, thought I'd introduce myself.

Ok. Here goes.
I'm Joey. I'm a male. Gay. I've been a big Disney fan since.....about 1990, I'd guess. I have a large collection of Disney VHS videos, and out of about 20 DVDs I own, 11 are Disney. (You can view my entire DVD collection here.)
I think my first major Disney movie was The Little Mermaid. I rented it so many times my mom finally bought it for me for my birthday. Someone else bought it for me, so I have two of the original, although one has smoke damage on the case and is worn out almost. I also own the 1998 VHS re-release.
My all time favorite movie, to this day, is Beauty and the Beast. I bought it the day it came out. When it was available for rental two days before the retail release, I rented it because I could not wait. I practically wore out my VHS copy. I had the soundtrack, which I DID wear out. (I now have a copy burned on CD.) I have the Be Our Guest Sing-Along-Songs video. I bought the DVD the week it came out. It's still my favorite movie after all these years, despite having lots of other movies be my favorite. (Gone With The Wind, Titanic, Moulin Rouge, and The Wizard Of Oz, to name a few.) It's still the movie I go to when I'm feeling down. That or Bridget Jones's Diary. LOVE that one. But that's another topic entirely.

Welcome to the forum Joey/my chicken is infected! I look forward to seeing your posts, and I can think of some forum members who have rather similar favorite movies lists!
But sheesh, another Beauty and the Beast fan. This can't be good for The Lion King lovers here! We're starting to get outnumbered!
Have fun on the forums!!

I think the forum member Luke is referring to with the "rather similar" favorite movies is me! Moulin Rouge is my all-time favorite movie, as many people on this forum already know. Hope you post often! Ultimate Disney is THE place to be!

And Hi Joey/my chicken is infected
the first Disney movie i saw, and the first movie i remember seeing is Jungle Book.
Naturally that's my favorite simply because its the first - kinda like you first love. I can't tell you how many times I've hummed the tune to "Look for the...bare neccesities" or king Louie's "I wanna be like you"! Ahh....memories.
After that robin hood, fantasia, resuers, great mouse detective, all the 40's disney movies, sword in the stone, Little mermaid, beauty and the beast, aladdin, lion king, hercules, atlantis, pocohontas, atlantis. yes in that order.
But my favorites are kinda tied up. I have a strong connection to Sword in the Stone and Aladdin. I am not sure why.
The rest like BatB, LK, and the rest are simply good movies. favs, but not top favs.
the last movie I saw that really got me interested in disney again(after what I consider a flop with hercules, pocohontas, atlantis) is the emperor's new groove. Goodness, it was so good and such a simply story that it immediately got into my favs.
I keep wondering what they'll do next...what folklore or tale will they make into the next disney film? maybe it should be a new topic...

Hello, my name is Jose.
I join this forum so I could share my appreciation to Disney. I'm sixteen
and its kind of embarassing to admit that i still enjoy watching Disney movies but its just something part of me. My first Disney memories were that of Donald Duck. Since I can remember I always loved disney and it havn'et changed. The first Disney movie that i remember would be The Little Mermaid, it's sounds impossible but I was about three yrs old. Later on came Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. Then I started to collect Disney vhs. I had Snow White, Pinnochio, Dumbo, Peter pan ( I remember when I bought it, about 4-6 yrs old.), Alice in Wonderland. Then when I was about 8 new movies were released from Pocahontas, The Hunchback, Hercules, Mulan, and Tarzan. It's been a great Disney experience. I remember going to Disneyland a lot as a kid. The new DVd's are great. It has in depth information. So far I have all the platinum editions. In total I got about 20 or so. I just hope that I get to collect all of them.
I thought I was a bit to big for me to like Disney films but I guess I'm not alone.

Welcome to UD.com Joey! Nice website I also hate Avril Lavigne!
I´m actually a Lion King Fan, is funny to see this movie isn´t as popular among Disney fans, as it is with the rest of the "normal" people (I just say "muggles"), maybe cause it is not like the other human-menken-classic-tale movies of that era, at all.
personally, back in 1994 I was very in love with this movie, I bought action figures, videogames, soundtracks, cardgames, stickers, everything...now the more I remember that year, when I was in junior high, my friends, and all those things, the more I love Lion King.

I'ts enough for this restless warrior just to be with you...
