Aladdin coupon booklet pics

Post by Tony »

I don't think anyone has posted pics yet of the Bambi and Cinderella advertisements in the Aladdin coupon booklet that was missing from a lot of the gift sets.

Could someone possible post these as International buyers wont be able to call Disney to get them to send a coupon booklet. Many thanks !... (Even if International buyers can't use the coupons, it is still nice too see the adverts).

I like the Bambi cover. But the Cinderella one, not really. I would like it if it was just Cinderella holding the slipper. Beacuse the prince seems to be the main focus. Not Cinderella, who really should be.

Yeah I agree with what you're saying on the Cinderella cover. The Bambi cover is ok but only ok. It's a bit dark and depressing I think.

WOW WOW WOW!!!

I'm so relieved, if this is how Bambi's cover gonna look I'm totally satisfied!
And I like the darker tone, much better than the previous, cheap-looking cover. And Bambi was drawn very artistically, too.

As for Cinderella, I like it just as much, I don't think it focuses more on the prince. It's just the pose...

Me happy :D

If that is the new design for the Bambi cover, all i can say is bring back the old one, all is forgiven!

Sure, I was surprised no one posted it sooner. :D

I doubt it. It's just an advert for it. I would imagine the coverart would be the one shown on Amazon.com

Actually, I think it's more likely than the one in the coupon booklet will be the final cover (or at least be closer to it than the one on Amazon and this site). The reason I believe this is because Disney usually uses old VHS clipart when determining the style for their covers (they've done this with Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin). Because Bambi himself was a direct cut and paste job from the mid-90's VHS, I always knew that he'd be altered for the DVD cover and it seems he has been judging from the coupon pic. As for Cinderella, I'm 100% positive that that won't be the final cover (again, Cindy and the Prince are cutouts from the VHS). It does tell us one thing, though. Out of all of the concept covers for Cinderella that we saw a few months ago, it seems Disney's going for the one with Cindy and the Prince dancing and the mice and coach underneath the title. I personally would've preferred the one with Cindy holding the glass slipper, but ah well.

Thanks a lot for posting! My Aladdin gift set didn't come with the coupon book either.

I like this Bambi cover a lot more than the one released by Disney. And it is nice to cofirm that those Cinderella coverarts we saw some time ago were indeed real, although I think there were better ones.

I called Disney about the absence of a coupon booklet in my standard 2-disc "Aladdin." Recently, I got a package from Disney that not only had the missing booklet, but the coupon booklets from "Ella Enchanted," "The Princess Diaries" S.E., "Home On The Range," plus all kinds of BVHE goodness (stickers, temporary tattoos, etc.)

Has any of you who called Disney gotten a envelope like mine?

Yup, called them the day after getting my set and had the coupons and whatnot by the beginning of the next week. Very speedy service.

these covers are not final IMO.

bambi. look closely at flower. he's not photoshoped yet. it's a still from the film. and bambi himself doesn't look like himself. but the layout is definitive I think.

cinderella. the title logo is an old one. it's not even the latest one. I think they'll create a new one. cinderella and the prince are also taken from an old video issue. look closely: there is twice the entrance gate of the castle. I hope and I believe we'll see cinderella's face as we see snow white and simba's faces.
