I'll just snatch up the regular Platinum Edition. Although the gift set seems nice in terms of lithographs and a handsome slipcover, it's just more expensive. And besides, the Gift Set takes up too much room on my shelf. 8)

Or you can just pre-order the DVD at the DisneyStore and get four bonus lithographs.

Yuck. I was hoping there would be better freebies on this.

I still have my absolutely adorable Abu plush from 12 years ago, sitting on my bed with a little more than a dozen other plushes, and have no need for another one. Now, if it was an Iago plush, I wouldn't mind as much; I didn't get one of him in '92 as he was a "bad guy," and somehow never got one once he turned good in Return of Jafar, either. But still, I would rather have had something more notable, like a CD with Proud of Your Boy or something. Will have to get the new soundtrack for that, I guess, tut tut...

Still, I'm all over the gift set, even if it is a bit pricier than I'dve liked. The same as Lion King last year, at least.

None of the Gift Set orders placed at Amazon through this site have shipped, so don't think that everyone's getting them early except you. I'm sure they'll start shipping by Monday.

No matter where you live, it appears the problem with distributing the Collectors edition stock is the same worldwide for Amazon.

So Luke, when do you think the people (like me) that ordered the Gift Set from amazon would start getting their copies?

'Cause we can't wait! :brick:

Hmmm... triple Best Buy points at a lower price or the Toys R Us deal? Decisions, decisions...

Luke, is there a price cap on the 2nd Disney DVD at Toys R Us?

Re: Gift Set

I'm sure Amazon will start shipping soon and you won't have to wait long to receive them. Stores are just as likely to not have them or not have many. They're kind of an esoteric product.

Re: Toys R' Us deal

I don't think there's any limit, but I don't know if they'll carry like the $39.99 SRP Disney Collector's Editions and if those would be okay.

Re: Triple Reward Points

It's the Best Buy credit card thing. They can be redeemed for future Best Buy purchases, but that's about all I know.
