Brad Bird, when asked about working with John Lasseter again despite the allegations against him:

“A lot of these stories are more complicated. I think everyone just wants to make a good movie. The most important thing to focus on is the value of storytelling.”

Hmm. If he'd just said something akin to "He's real sorry, I believe in second chances, he's gonna do better," I'd still raise an eyebrow. But it would at least be an acknowledgement of wrongdoing.

I can imagine it would be difficult to believe these things about your work buddies.
