Its not 100% accurate, but it should be fairly close. If its even remotely close, yikes.

Sorry, but I`m not a fan of those dolls. They look underwhelming and uncanny.

Well, they can rest soundly knowing they aren't as traumatizing as the Emma Watson dolls.

Aside from that, though ...

I don't remember uncanny Emma Watson dolls?? :? Or is this that thing where people randomly attack some other (ahem, "White") actor because a person of color or a movie with people of color is being criticized--over anything, in any way, at all--again? Just going by years on this forum, that's become the obvious tactic at this point. From attacking Gal Gadot because Rachel Zegler is being raked over the coals from all sides for being an awful human being to bringing Emma Watson up whenever racebends that severely alter the main character's design like TLM / PP&W are being rightly harpooned. TBH, that comes across more like real racism to me than whatever the far left types that push for racebends no matter the design like to say about those who disagree with them.

Ironically.... ( ;) ) A white racebend ( :milkbuds: ) of characters like Moana, Tiana, Aladdin, Mulan wouldn't be as odd since there are plenty of white people with natural black or brown hair, not so much the other way around with red or blonde hair... rotfl Those hair colors are actually pretty rare--I knew red hair was, but even blonde hair is on the rare side in the scheme of things apparently. That's why I remember saying shoving a POC into a role would have made much more sense with a brown-haired character like Belle. Of course someone who can sing better than H.E.R., she and Shania weren't good picks for something live like that.

Looks like the Naomi Scott Jasmine dolls were just as bad, both made the heads way too large. Which is odd because the Lily James Cinderella was not quite that bad, just a too long neck, and Yara Shahidi Tinkerbell one is a bit odd. The Elle Fanning one wasn't bad at all, actually. They improved with the Halle Bailey / Rachel Zegler dolls though, my guess is because those films were already being criticized for everything, no need to add any fuel to the fire.

They look as bad as the BATB ones...The face molds are really weird and all the details on the clothes are printed. As dolls they are a mess.

It`s a pity that none of those spots included some new footage.

To be honest, I thought that the Emma Watson dolls were absolutely the worst. As she looked very uncanny. Naomi Scott`s Jasmine was uncanny, too, but not as much as Emma`s. I could accept the other dolls, but Emma`s doll was too cringeworthy.

There will be new songs in the remake. This has been speculated, but not confirmed until now.
Disney’s live-action reimagining of Moana transforms the beloved animated classic for a new generation, with Catherine Laga‘aia stepping into the role of Moana alongside future Disney Legend Dwayne Johnson as everyone’s favorite demigod, Maui.

Since first stunning audiences in 2016, Moana has become one of Disney’s most enduring modern franchises; over the past five years, the first film has remained one of the most-streamed movies annually and last year, Moana 2 joined those ranks following its Disney+ debut.

Directed by Emmy® and Tony Award® winner Thomas Kail, the film features new music from future Disney Legend Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa‘i, and Mark Mancina.

Weird that we haven't heard any buzz over the kinds of songs that were added for this remake. Once upon a time, those were part of the main billing for these things. I don't suppose that bodes very well for, I don't know, Hei-Hei's answer to "Scuttlebutt" ...

The angling of the top pic isn't super flattering, but I think she looks positively elegant in the second.

But I again confront how the insistence to carry over the exact designs from the animated film is only doing more to expose the non-necessity of this remake.

Sorry to say, but I don`t like the poster. Mainly because it tries to replicate the one from it`s animated predecessor and it looks tacky. The merch art looked fine, though.
