Actually, it turned 25 around August last year, as that's when the original five part pilot aired in 1988. March 1989 was when the first solo episodes aired. September 1989 is when it went into syndication.

Actually all of you are "right". Rescue Rangers especially is a very interesting title as it has a few "series premiers". The August date is when the first anything from the show was released after Disney Channel aired a "sneak peek" of the series. It then aired more "sneak peeks" in March of 1989. It would seem however that Disney on their social media has been listing the September 15, 1989 as the official debut of the series.Mayhem wrote:Actually, it turned 25 around August last year, as that's when the original five part pilot aired in 1988. I personally feel that celebrating all three dates is the way to go as in a way there is a valid argument for all of them as "the date" the show started. Just a year later in 1990, it would "debut" again on the Disney Afternoon block. I can't think of too many shows with so many "series premiers".

I actually didn't realise that Rescue Rangers was that old. I must have watched it when it was in syndication when I was about four/five and always thought it was a 1993 show. I used to own several of the VHS. Duelling Dale was my favourite followed by Ghouls and Jewels.
