Lee is writing Frozen 4, but not directing it. It's not clear if Marc Smith will be the one directing it.
Lee will be directing and writing on Frozen 3 and writing Frozen 4 with Marc Smith; she will also executive produce the latter.

In her email to the staff, Lee makes it seem she will be co-directing both films with Marc Smith. If that's the case, then why didn't the press release mention her directing Frozen 4. :?
As you know from Alan’s email, I will be returning to filmmaking full time writing and directing with Marc Smith on FROZEN 3 and FROZEN 4. I admit, I was hooked from the moment Marc first pitched this new adventure for our gang, and I am in awe of the incredible work he has done since then developing this powerful story. As a studio, we are fairly new to musical sequels, and this will be our first story told over two films at once. I’m excited for the challenge and so grateful for this opportunity to return to filmmaking, and can think of no better way to do so than with our FROZEN family.

With a new original movie confirmed for 2028, I can't believe they are going to make us wait for more than a year to see what happens after the cliffhanger ending of Frozen III.

Well, to divide the last sequels in two parts reminds me very much of the dividing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and even Wicked. But let`s hope that they`ll have a compelling story to tell in two movies.

What are the odds we're getting two WDAS films in 2028?

Agreed that both Frozen sequels should not br separated by more than a year.

I don't think it was confirmed whether the film will be released in November or March, but there's no chance Frozen IV won't be released in November.
I think it's possible for Disney to have two films because eventually they will want to release Coco 2 in November as well.
