Oh I see. Yeah it looks off, not just his nostril but his chin as well. I wonder why they went with this design instead if the better one.
Re: Sleeping Beauty Discussion
I found these beautiful production drawings of Aurora by Marc Davis.

I have always loved her design, especially her hair.

Oh yeah, there, Spain fixed his nostrils! The US Black Diamond is where they are bad.

Anybody else think that Flora and Merryweather should have at least come to a compromise and make Aurora’s dress violet? Because I think it would actually suit her namesake, considering the sky is purple at dawn and Aurora was literally named after the dawn.

That actually sounds like the kind of thing Fauna would try to suggest to the two of them really quietly before just hushing up and minding her own business.

DisneyJedi, yes, it would be a great idea, and fit Aurora's name, but it's in these fairies' personalities not to compromise!
Patch, yeah, I can see that.

The blue and the pink are colors that you can see when the sun goes down. Mixing them you have the purple so it would've been a great idea and a great solution for the conflict. However the blue one looks so elegant!

Here's the 1958 comic strip adaptation. Sorry, the pictures are not in the correct order, even if I uploaded them correctly. And some of them are doubles.

Thanks for the picture! I would love to have a re edition of these comics just like they are doing with the little golden book. But preserving the colors and the artwork because I've seen some comics that have been released again modifying everything except the drawing.
I've also been searching pictures of Aurora in purple because you know that sometimes Disney released books where the characters doesn't look like in the movie but I couldn't find anything. However I realized that some dolls released lately have a purple tone in their costumes like the last LE doll released for the anniversary movie. Disney store also uses to make her peasant gown in purple. Maybe because is more attractive for childrens.

Thanks for the pics of Marc Davis' drawings and the comic, Vlad! They are all great! Could you just make one post with the pic of Diablo seeing Briar Rose is Aurora, though? I think I missed that one.
Thumper, yes, Disney knows kids like color more than gray. Hence a purple Briar Rose outfit and blue Cinderella ballgown.
