I don't know how you can have an even more happy ending than the one they already have!

How about an extra shot of them kissing, like how the movie ends ?! Or is that overkill with the happy .....

I wish they'd feature Ursula a little more in the ride. It just seems soo anti-climactic as it is.

I don't know either, which makes me wonder if her getting her voice back and getting kissed was the extra happy ending scene.

Yea, if they had stuck to the original way the ride was on the DVD. Though honestly I like what they do with the new ride better in every single way except that I think Ursula should rise up out of the Kiss the Girl lagoon and seeing her huge and her defeat are just like they were on the DVD.

I like how on the original ride, it was her enormous head at the end of the ride. That would have been pretty freekin scary!

Do you think there is any logic to the idea that this ride will eventually come to Paris, as it was supposed to?

I definately think there is logic to the idea, but as for it actually happening, I think it will take a while (do they have Mr. Toad or Winnie the Pooh as a dark ride in addition to Snow White and Peter Pan?). But I now get that the ride not being there is a little sad for you since you don't have one yet at the park you are close to! But most people don't even get to live so near any Disney theme parks!

Just found this on Tumblr. So, we can confirm the 2 rides are the same:

I guess that is fair enough; none of the other dark rides differ that much from park to park.

But I guess there have been changes to the original already; the animation was altered to 2D, and her hair changed in the Under The Sea section.

The layout may be the same, but there may be tweaks here and there.

I wish they would include the line Jodi recorded for the ride on the DVD; 'Someday I'M gonna be part of that world!".

Forgive me if I am wrong, but on the loading bay area of the ride, and 'Under The Sea' is playing....if I am not mistaken, it is the version from the Broadway show ?

Especially recognisable in the section from the dance breakdown....what do you guys think ? Just thought it was kind of cool to merge the two ! (and sorry if this has been spotted before).

Exclusive Journey on The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure with Jodi Benson & Lauren Paley

This was awfully sweet.

I remember how even back when the attraction first premiered, Jodi was saying how her favorite part of the ride was that initial descent, and even here fifteen years later she's still consistent.

There's also a nice little story about Howard Ashman that I hadn't known about.
