The forum is broken and can't have new members sign up!! And something about if someone forgets their password they can't come back- it might not be exactly that but some old members can't log in.

When looking at old articles for my ongoing research project, I came across this:

New York Times
November 28, 1986, Page C00008
At one point, was Stevie Wonder actually helping with the O&Co songs (or at least signed up to) or was this a mistake!?

Re: Oliver and Company Discussion
Alan Menken and Howard Ashman wrote a song for Oliver & Company called "El Gato/Something About Them (Tito’s Song)". It was leaked last year. I'm not posting it here because Disney monitors the forum for copyright infringement, but if you google it you'll find it easily.
In an April 1988 letter to the film's director George Scribner, Howard wrote of the song, "Basically, the idea is to give Cheech a solid musical framework to play in. You and he would want to elaborate on the ad-lib dialogue sections I'm sure. I do like the idea that Tito gets so emotionally involved with what he's singing that he spills over into speech while the music plays on. The demo, of course, is sketchy in the arrangement department and my performance is...well...what shall we call it? Offensive? Yeah, that's the word."

Too bad Disney doesn't monitor this forum for ideas on how to run their company

I really like the song. No way a melody like that could ever be heard today. Alan and Howard in their heyday.
