Rank the DTV Sequels Soundtracks

How would you rank the DTV sequels soundtracks? Which one has the best songs and which one the worst?

Gosh, I don't know their complete song rosters as much as I ought to.

Off the top of my head though ...

"Return to the Sea's" redeeming feature is its soundtrack. "For a Moment" and "Down to the Sea" almost make the rest of the movie worth it.

"Simba's Pride" also has a solid lineup, though that's also arguably the most coherent DTV sequel all around.

"Your Heart Will Lead You Home" from "The Tigger Movie" still makes me tear up.

"Stories" from "Enchanted Christmas," another number that transcends its source material.

Now that I think about it, "Like Other Girls" from Mulan II probably deserves something for bringing Judy Kuhn back to us.

Then there are others that I wouldn't say are necessarily spectacularly-written, but they're still pleasant. "Forever" from "Pooh's Grand Adventure," "Where Do I Go From Here" from Pocahontas II, "Jungle Rhythm" from Jungle Book 2.

Don't know which I'd designate as the "worst," but "Ariel's Beginning" stands out as having the most wasted potential, I suppose.

I don't know them as well to rank them off-the-cuff like with the original films.

My favorite songs that come to mind are "There Is Life" from Bambi II, "Stories" and "As Long As There's Christmas" from The Enchanted Christmas, "At the Ball" from Twist in Time, "We Are One," "Not One of Us," and "Love Will Find a Way" from Simba's Pride, the opening song and "For a Moment" from Return to the Sea, "Where Do I Go From Here" from the Pocahontas sequel, "I'll Try" from Return to Neverland, and the opening song from Scamp's Adventure. I like nearly all the songs from the Aladdin sequels, more or less. I recall the songs from Pooh's Grand Adventure were mostly good, too.

"We Are One" is the best.
"Stories" is great.
I love "When You Follow Your Heart" and "Put It Together".

What a great idea to discuss! While it may hackneyed to point it out, I actually have to choose Simba`s Pride. Cause it has the best soundtrack, both it`s songs and it`s score. I love We are One, My Lullaby, Upendi and One of Us (Love Will Find a Way is too generic and it`s melody feels very derivative). My second choice is The Little Mermaid II Return to the Sea. But the truth is that I happen to love a specific song from most of the cheapquels.
From Aladdin & The King of Thieves, I`ll take Out of Thin Air. From Pocahontas II, I`ll take What a Day in London (frankly, while I do like Wait `Til He Sees You and Things Are Not What They Appear, they`re just good, not great). From Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas, I`ll take As Long as There`s Christmas and A Cut Above the Rest. From Mulan II, I`ll choose Lesson Number One. From Hunchback II, I`ll chose Le Jour D`Amour and Fa La La Fallen in Love. From The Lion King 1 1/2, I`ll take Digga Tunnel.

I happened to come across this today and feel like this is as good a place to share as any, seeing as we're in general agreement that Little Mermaid 2 has one of the better DTV soundtracks.

I listened to a few songs from the sequels and I agree with most of what was said here. I noticed that I enjoyed most of the songs from The Lion King 2 while with other films I liked only one or two songs.

Some of the songs I liked:
- There's a Party Here in Agrabah
- Out of Thin Air
- Stories
- As Long As There's Christmas
- Down to the Sea
- For a Moment
- Where Do I Go From Here
- I'll Try

And like I said I pretty much liked most of the songs from Lion King 2.
