Oh, I didn't even bother to look at the source. I wonder if they came up with this Darth Maul stuff before or after they claimed that there will be a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child film(s).

Yeah, I don't know why We Got This Covered articles keep being posted here. Guillermo del Toro has already publicly said they're a load of BS, especially when it comes to Disney projects.
Their method seems to be to throw a bunch of projects out there, with the hope that one of them will come true and then saying "see, we told you so!" It's why WGTC is rattling off a bunch of Disney remakes. One or two of those are bound to happen, eventually.

Maul: Shadow Lord
https://www.cinemablend.com/star-wars/l ... ls-visionsA DARTH MAUL animated series was just announced. It's called Maul: Shadow Lord, and that just send the stage into a bigger rousing applause than I've seen all day. Sam Witwer is once again voicing the role, too.
...We saw a trailer that shows Darth Maul taking on a female apprentice to realize her "potential" with the force. Y'all it looks absolutely amazing. We really haven't seen shows from the dark side perspective, so that makes it even more exciting. Oh, and the animation is unlike anything we've seen from Lucasfilm. What a way to celebrate the division by actually outdoing themselves with a new show on the horizon.
It's coming out in 2026!
