What Books Do You Think Disney Should Adapt?
What Books Do You Think Disney Should Adapt?
Disney in the past had adapted full length novels such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Sword in the Stone, Jungle Book, Black Cauldron, etc. So are there any books you've read that you think Disney should adapt?

Harry potter, or rather they purchase harry potter and continue the OG Movie series, including my favourite movies ever in fantastic beasts, with more spinoffs expanding the world etc. which is what they shouldโve done in which is way more needed than something like Star Wars. They could evenRedo the Books in animated forums, which is what should be done instead of an LA version, which again what is the point, weโve already got About seven different versions of each book if you count the games and all of their different versions, so again unless itโs animated which is a new format, they are not really getting anything new because anything the TV show was going to add on his post likely already in the games, not to mention itโs gonna cause confusion in the future part with them about to do some new things in the parks that have again original actors and designs from the movies etc. so why bother?

They should also continue Narnia, because they are versions of Narnia including the third one that was not originally made by them are about as loyal and definitive as youโre ever gonna get with the books, let alone compared to what apparently Greta Gerwig is planning with her new adaptationโฆโฆ

We're already getting narnia, on netflix, from the same woman who wrote Barbie. But not by disney.
Edit: oh, didnt see you already mentioned that. but yea, why would we be getting disney to do a another version, they didnt want the franchise.

Don Quijote *sighs, Frankenstein could work too if they put some fun twists, Huckleberry Finn and maybe Gullivers Travels is something i think could work too for WDAS, especially since those books have some recognition, even if the general public hasnt read them but its up there

I want WDAS to make their first PG-13 animated feature - one that aims for older audiences, without the need for terribly explicit language and imagery.
Can't think of any book I read recently that fits the bill.

Agreed, Don Quijote would`ve been perfectly suitable.
Re: What Books Do You Think Disney Should Adapt?
I believe Walt Disney himself wanted to adapt Don Quijote, but ended up shelving the movies as he couldn't find a way to adapt it. Just like how he wanted to adapt the Snow Queen and Beauty and the Beast, but that didn't happen in his life time. The Disneynerd wrote: โSun Apr 06, 2025 4:20 am Don Quijote *sighs, Frankenstein could work too if they put some fun twists, Huckleberry Finn and maybe Gullivers Travels is something i think could work too for WDAS, especially since those books have some recognition, even if the general public hasnt read them but its up there

I mean continue the current franchise, which they could since all the Pevensies Are grown up in the remaining books, and even with Eustis, will Poulter still could pull off just being a little bit older like they did with Prince Caspian, because again the way theyโve already done the movies is about as perfect as annotation as youโre ever going to get, even with the faults of the latter 2 may have. Plus with Bob Iger about to leave, and apparently being the main reason why Disney let go of Narnia, maybe thereโs a chance especially since I have a feeling the Netflix one is not gonna turn out so well, again especially if youโve been hearing what is apparently planned with themโฆโฆ
