Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
Re: Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
They're all beautiful. I think my favorite would have to be Fantasia . I love how the artist incorporated so many elements from the film into it, without having to include the Sorcerer Mickey. If they would release the film in the collection, they need to use a design similar to this.

Cinderella's was my favorite, too, along with Peter Pan's and Bambi's. I wish they would do something like this for their elite films if nothing else, although I would be nice to have them all. You'd think Criterion themselves would be interested in some films like B&tB, Pinocchio, Bambi, TLK, or Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs at least even if Disney themselves had no interest in doing anything feature-wise.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"

Re: Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
I actually liked them all but I would say Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty were my favorite fan art covers.
Alice in Wonderland was my least favorite due to the splitting of Wonderland into 2 words and only showing Alice’s leg. Also I don’t recall seeing the name Walt Disney on the Alice cover...

Those are all gorgeous! And so different from the regular DVD covers, which just try to cram as many characters they can into one rectangle. Turning the landscape into the focal point and situating the characters within it works to great effect. (The Peter Pan one is my favorite.)

They have the shot of Alice walking away with her sister in the background. I agree about the title split though.carolinakid wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 12:51 pm I actually liked them all but I would say Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty were my favorite fan art covers.

Thanks, Div! I guess I didn’t look at it too closely. I love Alice and her sister! I also didn’t notice the name Walt Disney on the tree. I like it much better now except for Wonder
Land.
Land.

Yay, I am so glad you guys like the covers! I super agree with Divinity about Criterion's interest, and with PatchofBlue about the way the covers are done. But I was so happy and agreeing a lot when reading everyone's comments, thanks for replying guys!

Now that Disney is handing over disc distribution to Sony, it would be nice if they also licensed a few titles to Criterion (besides just Wall-E!). Those are pretty fan covers, for sure.

I wish I could just print these and replace the official cover art with them. Lol

Re: Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
I just finished making my own custom Blu-ray’s for the Disney 3D films I’ve found online, so far finished Sleeping Beauty, Snow White. Will do Aladdin, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Lilo and Stitch, and Tarzan next. Hopefully I get more 3D film conversions online so I can make my own collection. Lol
I also added concept art on the inside of the covers for a finishing touch.

Thank you I tried making one with the original beauty and the beast VHS cover but I think I got the dimensions wrong. Will need to redo it.

Re: Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
Speaking of WALL-E, I'm considering getting the movie on 4K. Which would you guys recommend more if you have either one, the Disney-released 4K or the Criterion Collection 4K?
Re: Disney Films (Criterion Collection)
If you have Dolby Vision then the Criterion, otherwise the Disney release.DisneyJedi wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 12:17 pm Speaking of WALL-E, I'm considering getting the movie on 4K. Which would you guys recommend more if you have either one, the Disney-released 4K or the Criterion Collection 4K?
The Criterion also has additional bonus features.

So get the Criterion release because the Disney release doesn't have Dolby Vision. You also get new bonus features.
