hey there is a 40% off sale on shopdisney.com going on right now and the Designer Princess dolls are included, except for Cinderella whose doll came out the most recent. The discount will make them very affordable! There's since been released 5 more dolls: Snow White, Moana, Rapunzel, Merida and Cinderella. I will very likely get Merida as I think she looks badass and I feel the design suits her(and Im a sucker for tartan.) Dont really care for the other 4. I think they tried to redo something similar to her Premier doll with Snow White(same colors) but its just not the same...Cinderella is ok but I just dont like her in pants.

https://www.shopdisney.com/characters/d ... lectibles/

There's supposed to be 15 dolls in the series so there are 4 princesses left to get dolls. I assume 3 of them will be Belle, Elsa and Anna. Which leaves one left which I think may be Raya since they will supposedly be adding her to the Princess line soon.

I actually think the Cinderella doll looks great, but I don't buy princess dolls in modern clothes. Snow White still looks really different from her movie premiere doll.

Anna and Elsa are not going to be part of the collection. They are going to repeat Tiana, Aurora and Ariel. It was confimed a few weeks ago.

^really?! How strange, and a shame. They could have used the last 3-4 spots for characters who don't usually get designer dolls. Do you know where this info was leaked/posted?

I would have chosen:

Kida(she got a 17 inch last year so this could have been her 12 inch doll)
Blue Fairy(new live action is coming out )
Alice or Tinkerbell (they are probably the most popular non princess characters, also has anniversary next year)
Eilonwy (b/c it about time!)
Megara or Esmeralda(wouldn't have minded another Meg, her 17 inch sold out before I had a chance to get her)
Raya or Mirabel (though Mirabel will probably get a doll for a separate designer Encanto line)

I really thought Elsa & Anna would have gotten 2 of the spots for next year b/c of the 10th anniversary of the film, but maybe they decided to release them as their own thing. Or maybe they'll just do 17 inch dolls instead.

Although I'm a fan of those 3 princesses in particular, I am also surprised and a little annoyed they are repeating instead of using some new girls instead. I would've LOVED to see Megara, Esmerelda, and Kida in particular!

Either way, I guess my opinion doesn't really matter since I haven't bought any of the dolls anyway. I did pick up a few of the pins when they went on sale.

I just like seeing them being made, and I think having collections like this (with limited runs) gives the best opportunity to shine a light on lesser known and more obscure characters. Can't we cater to the niche groups too?

I agree with you unprincess and singerguy04. They should use this opportunity to appeal to the niche fans.

So these might be the Frozen dolls for next year's 10th anniversary. Though they aren't necessarily being designated as "10th anniversary" dolls... they might release 17 inch size dolls for that.

https://www.youloveit.com/dolls/2696-di ... dolls.html

they're cute...dont know if Ill get them...they will probably sell out before I even finally decide whether I will buy them or not. :P

So it looks like we were all wrong about who is coming next in the designer series. Shuri from Black Panther made her debut at D23 and is now available at shopdisney.com.

Shuri is instead of a princess? (Disney Princess branding I mean since she's a Wakandan princess?)

no I dont think this is part of the ongoing Disney Princess designer line, it seems to be a new separate Marvel designer line.

There were a bunch of new Designer dolls released for D23, I think they're exclusives for the event though, I havent seen them show up at shopdisney.com yet:
Giselle Bride
Snow White Bride
Merida
Jasmine in blue
Hercules and Megara set

It seems that Giselle is going to be the only one that is not going to have a public release in shop Disney. Jasmine, Merida and Snow White are going to have variants editions.
Someone asked if they were going to release Giselle in her Pink gown and one of the designers responded that they didn't have plans to release her because they made the masquerade set few years ago.
In my opinion the Giselle that came in that set doesn't look la the characters. Even the color of his gown is not accurate...

“selectivenostalgia” on Instagram posted a list of LE dolls in the works. I didn’t believe it, but one of these dolls (Asha) was just announced by Disney so now I think it holds water. Here is the list (some of these dolls have already been confirmed through other sources):

Tiana (ride dress)
Cinderella
Mary Poppins
Asha
Pocahontas
Esmeralda (similar to 12” Designer Doll)
Belle (yellow dress)
Giselle (pink dress)
Snow White (live action— the user says she is “horrendous”)
Evil Queen

Since Disney typically times their releases around anniversaries and movie premieres, I think we can assume Cinderella, Pocahontas, Snow White, and maybe the Evil Queen are coming in 2025, Belle and Esmeralda are coming in 2026. We already know Asha is coming in November 2024 and Mary Poppins is coming January 2025. I think we also know that Tiana is coming before the end of the year. Giselle is a wild card— first off, Giselle dolls are rare so her inclusion on the list was a major surprise, secondly, Enchanted’s next benchmark anniversary would be in 2027 so it would seem odd to release a doll before then. Supposedly, she’s supposed to be a general release but I wonder if she isn’t meant to be a D23 Exclusive in 2026? Or maybe she’ll be like this year’s Ariel doll that had two versions, a standard general release and a deluxe D23 exclusive? I dunno…

When I first saw the list, I assumed that the Evil Queen would be Gal Gadot’s version but on second thought… I wonder, maybe not??? I feel like Disney’s doing a lot of prep work for Villains Land coming to WDW and I would be so excited to see an Evil Queen 17” LE doll based on the original character!!

Lots of ladies to look forward to! I hope they do right by Pocahontas.

Wow Giselle and the Evil Queen! If they do a 75th anniversary Cinderella and she's really good, I hope I can afford her.

Images of the LE Cinderella have leaked!

https://www.instagram.com/p/DEibDHoM7Ya ... RteW5sdw==

The images are kinda potato quality, BUT, we can tell that her dress is silver!!! I will need to see more in detail to give more thoughts. Curious to hear from Disney Duster.

Cinderella is expected to drop next month, along with the Blue Fairy.

Her face and dress are pretty and I like the hair color. But I hate those bangs and how they're swept to the side. They don't look like the real Cinderella's bangs. Disney keeps messing that up.

More excited for the Blue Fairy because I think she's one of the most gorgeous characters Disney ever created but she rarely gets dolls and merch.

But in general I think Disney's limited edition dolls always feel very cheap. The quality is not good especially for the clothes. The Mattel dolls from the 90s were so much more high quality and had better designs. They felt true to the characters with their eras and cultures than what Disney Store makes now.

Thank you for wondering what I think, Brelly!

I do love the silver, and after her 4K her hair is actually a brownish golden, so the colors look good. I love her from the waist up, but I am not too sure how I feel about what looks like a big, curved overskirt to mimic her bustle. Also, does she have transparent gloves? I do not know if I will buy this doll. I need to see better pictures. Thank you for sharing the pictures, Brelly!

Lavendergolden, I don't mind them changing her bangs because these dolls are supposed to change a lot from the original designs as new interpretations and different forms of what we know and love. Also, I like the current way dolls are today as opposed to the Mattel ones because I feel they get more creative today. Even the current cheap play dolls that are supposed to look exactly like the film are better than the old ones that were play dolls, except I do like the Mattel Signature Cinderella more than any play doll made today or older.

I like her skirt too much. It looks really magical.
People are complaining about the similarities between this one and the Saks version released some years ago. What did they expected? Cinderella's gown has been made lots of times before, the style is always the same. I understand that they wanted the pink version but I think that Disney wanted to make Cinderella in her ballgown to give the fans that couldn't get the Saks version the chance to have a doll with this gown.
